After spending his formative years helping his father to operate multiple golf facilities, John Invernizzi decided to dedicate his adult life to spreading the gospel of the game. The PGA pro opened Hereford Golf Center in 1995 with the aim of creating a pressure-free space for golfers of all stripes to hone their swings, learn to appreciate the game, and debate about which club would be the most useful to ward off feral caddies. In the ensuing 17 years, clubbers have been hitting practice balls at the center’s 36-stall driving range, replete with eight target greens that range from 50 to 260 yards.
The adjacent Lost Falls Miniature Golf Course takes friendly competitors careening past two ponds, a large stream, and a mysterious cave as they steer golf balls toward pintsize flagsticks. True to his mission of making golf fun and accessible for everyone, John and the staff at Hereford Golf Center provide clubs free of charge, sparing clubless players from hastily purchasing one or digging in their backyard for a conveniently shaped mastodon bone.

The Bowling Classic hosted by Haruki Nakamura and other Ravens players gives football fans the chance to meet up to six players while bowling for a charitable cause. Attendees talk football and strategize cross-lane tackles as they bowl, wander, and mingle with Haruki, who will spend time at each lane alongside Ravens players and fans. Guests can compare an 8"x10" signed photo to Nakamura's actual likeness as they bid in a silent auction or enter raffles to win Ravens memorabilia and tickets. The winning team will receive a basket of autographed Ravens items, which they can hoist overhead or spike to the ground in victory. Bowlers can whet whistles and toast to big-league dreams at the full bar or nosh on concessions available from area vendors. Part of the event's proceeds will be donated to a charity of Haruki's choice.
This newly opened megacenter offers more than 5,000 square feet of open space for slick shoes and rug cuttery. The staff is composed of well-oiled dance machines who lead eclectic student groups across a multi-genre range of dance styles. Learn how to pirouette like a pro with the classical ballet class (offered for beginners and intermediate/advanced), or take a fanciful tap class and finally use those tap shoes you bought for their intended purpose, instead of for alerting your skittish, shotgun-toting grandma to your presence. A Latin dance class (pre-registration required) is offered to get hips swinging and tongues rolling, while the yoga class is a great way to unwind by bringing uppity energies back down to earthly levels through relaxing poses. Check out the schedule for a complete list of dates, times, and class offerings.
