Crossfit Giant is not a quiet place. Nor should it be. Here, the walls shake, the floors tremble, and the motivational urgings of instructors reverberate throughout the 5,000-square-foot facility. Here, certified CrossFit instructors lead 60-minute classes that incorporate elements of weightlifting, gymnastics, and track and field; from one moment to the next students might find themselves sprinting, throwing, squatting, and pulling. But they won't be sweating it out alone?they'll be working alongside other like-minded folks who share the same goal: to get in shape, and perhaps squeeze into an old dress or favorite fanny pack.

Classes include general CrossFit training, Olympic weightlifting, and gymnastics. But it's not all sound and stomp here.
