  • Rachel Klapper Movement Arts
Rachel, the eponymous owner of Rachel Klapper Movement Arts, began dancing and performing in Iowa City when she was 12 years old. Eventually, she traveled to Chicago to continue her studies at a renowned jazz school and then headed out to the Perry Mansfield Performing Arts Camp in Colorado, where she played the role of the narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Later, Rachel enrolled in the Interlochen Arts Academy, where she regularly performed everything from ballet to modern dance. After a brief hiatus, Rachel is now dancing again as a certified Artistry-level BeMoved instructor. She currently teaches the dance-fitness group classes in the Iowa City/Coralville area, leading students through a different musical and dance style?such as bollywood or jazz?each week. Rachel has been a mentor at teacher trainings in Chicago, working closely with BeMoved founder Sherry Zunker.
