The Omaha Rollergirls joust elbow-to-elbow with territorial rival Mid Iowa during a late-season, hard-hitting double-header. Founded in 2006 and owned by the skaters themselves, the club has surged to an impressive seventh-place ranking in the South Central region of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association. Instilling a sense of hometown pride by painting their stomachs with the mayor's name, fans of any age can cheer on the Rollers' two teams—the Midwest-focused AAA squad and the more experienced, travelling All-Stars—during a pair of bouts on May 19, both of which feature two 30-minute periods separated by a brief intermission. As Axl Rogue, Ima Firestarter, and the rest of the Rollergirls soar around the track collecting points, referees police the action, sending troublemakers to the penalty box for dangerous infractions such as tripping, blocking from behind, and littering the track with thousands of marbles.
With cruises and rentals from Dubuque’s American Lady Yacht Cruises, you can set sail along the Mississippi River either as a relaxed passenger or an adventuresome captain. Aboard the $1 million American Lady yacht, passengers roam the vessel's two stories, slipping into the climate-controlled interior salons or enjoying the river breeze on the open bow and upper deck. The yacht has hosted weddings and corporate events, and it regularly departs on happy hour and sunset dinner cruises that treat passengers to fresh air, panoramic views, drinks, and refreshments from the ship’s caterer, Catfish Charlie’s River Club.
Sylvan 21- and 24-foot pontoon boats are also in the company's fleet.
Behind Whatta' Dish's handsome, unpainted wood exterior lies a treasure trove of similarly unadorned pottery that awaits the caress of a paintbrush. Ensconced in warm light and bright, multihued walls, guests embellish a wide array of bisque pieces, such as ornaments, pet dishes, and plates. As the last coat begins to dry, Whatta' Dish's staff whisks finished pieces away, glazing and firing them to give each item a protective gloss that makes it safe for use with food and trips through the dishwasher. Guests are free to tote along their own snacks and beverages of choice.

There’s no turning back once visitors are wheeled via pallet jack into The Slaughterhouse, not unlike pigs being carried to their bloody end. Once inside, visitors must navigate a winding, cavernous fortress of solid steel, careful to avoid whirring chainsaws, murderous madmen, and adorable teething puppies.
