Rachel Burstein has been involved in dance for nearly two decades. As a performer, she's claimed numerous accolades, including a finalist finish on New Zealand's Dancing with the Stars in 2009. As an instructor, Rachel has transformed first-timers into award-winners. Her teaching isn't just for competitive purposes, though. Students can browse Rachel's flexible schedule and pick styles that interest them, which includes everything from the cha cha, rumba, and swing to salsa, foxtrot, and Argentine tango. The wide selection speaks to Rachel's vast knowledge of ballroom styles. It also prepares students to impress at non-competitive events, such as while attending a wedding or browsing the dairy section at the grocery store.

According to a profile in South Coast Magazine , Dancesport owner Matt Gregory began dancing at age 19, a relatively late start compared to most professional dancers, who often start three weeks before they're born. He and the rest of the Dancesport instructors share nearly 100 years of combined experience with their students inside a more than 3,000-square-foot ballroom. Specializing in private, one-on-one classes, these teachers and coaches–championship dancers brought on board to conduct special classes–teach tango, west coast swing, and foxtrot, among other dance styles.
Their class schedule is supplemented with group courses, wedding-prep training, and events such as parties, shows, and the philanthropic Dancing for a Cause, which was chronicled by the Orange County Register.
Regardless of the workout's pace, Studio Fixx's experienced staff of instructors provide the encouragement and form advice to develop an effective fitness regimen. Their wide range of classes encompasses toning bodyscult and barre workouts as well as Zumba sessions and tabata, which combines cardio exercises and interval training to give your lungs six-packs. Exercisers who want to slow things down, on the other hand, can sign up for a relaxing vinyasa flow yoga session instead of wasting hours pretending to lift a medicine ball in slow motion.
Now in its 32nd year, Pacific Ballet Conservatory teaches the art of rhythm and poise inside four modern studios. Its highly trained instructors?whose international credentials stem from such centers as the Joffrey Ballet and the Dutch National Ballet?mentor both children and adults with an unflagging focus on personal development. Evaluations at six-month intervals gauge every student's progress in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary styles. Pupils can also showcase their talents during the Spring Performance Series, which emulates professional theater productions with special effects and Muppet-filled box seats. Many dancers do indeed progress to the spotlight after their schooling, performing onstage at the San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, and even Disneyland.
