Designed by Dallas native and 10-time PGA Tour tournament winner Don January, Pinnacle Golf & Boat Club’s 18-hole course winds through the shadows of old oak trees and on the shores of Cedar Creek Lake. Narrow fairways tunnel through dense tree lines, penalizing golfers who lack control off of the tee and familiarity with horticultural vernacular. Cool breezes foretell the presence of multiple water hazards, which further challenge shot-making decisions on 10 holes. After rounds, the Clubhouse restaurant—which is open to members and golfers only—awaits from its perch overlooking the lake to vanquish appetites roused after sampling flavorful fringe on the 18th green.

Course at a Glance: * 18-hole, par 72 course * Length of 6,349 yards from the farthest tees * Course rating of 71.8 from the farthest tees * Slope rating of 132 from the farthest tees:m]]

Oasis Beach & Tennis Club's focus on the sport of tennis is obvious, if only based on the sheer number and variety of courts available. There are 14 total: 10 are outdoor hard courts, two are clay courts, and two are indoor, climate-controlled courts. But when it comes to coaching, especially for junior athletes, the instructional team focuses less on numbers and more on the 4 C's: consistency, commitment, courage, and character. They view these building blocks as essential to success in the sport more so than any numerical metric, such as number of aces you can pull off in a game or the number of times someone has mistaken you for a cool guy named Ace.

But the club has plenty of other amenities, such as a traditional fitness center, pool, and nine beach volleyball courts. Volleyball events are held regularly. Clinics for adults help players take their tennis game to the next level and an on-site tennis pro shop supplies high-quality gear and stringing services. When it's time to relax, take a spot in a cabana surrounding the turquoise resort-style pool open from Memorial Day through Labor Day while kids spend time at the onsite childcare facility, available for free for members from 9 a.m. to noon on weekdays. Additionally, members receive a discount at Urban Air Trampoline park, which shares a location with Oasis.

Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club will be rolling out displays teeming with eggs, waffles, seafood, and even stuffed pork loin and prime rib during upcoming brunch feasts held in the club’s dining and lounge arena. Epicurean adventures launch at the smoked-salmon station, which also enlists the services of capers, eggs, and bagels. Cajun boiled shrimp burst with spice, and deviled eggs consult a PR firm about rebranding themselves “non-satanic eggs”. Fill up on gumbo prepared with either seafood or chicken and sausage, or head to the omelet station to whip up an eggy delight.

Carved out of the 53-acre North Bossier Park, Bossier Tennis Center resounds with the thumps, thwacks, and grunts of tennis games echoing across its 12 clay and 6 hard tennis courts. Overhead lighting illuminates each playing surface, encouraging matches, tournaments, junior camps, and individual lessons to continue well into the evening hours?and negating the need for an onlooker to follow the ball with a flashlight. Resident USPTA pro Elana Engleman not only presides over this flurry of activity but also keeps the pro shop stocked with essentials such as new tennis balls, apparel, and rackets.
