Art runs in the veins of gallery curators Evelyn and Jonathon Ortiz-Smykla. And their studio, OSGS, is the embodiment of their love of art, and for sharing the work of talented artists. On any given day, a visit to their gallery sends guests crossing paths with a variety of works in many mediums that include modern-art paintings, sculptures, and home wares. But the team also does their own creating inside the studio: custom framing is available with a large number of options for materials, glass, matting, and mounting. The gallery also brings in guest speakers for the Bring Your Own Chair lecture series, whose dates are published on the gallery’s Facebook page.
Since 1968, Jerry’s Artarama has stocked shelves with multitudes of tools and supplies and helped artists show off finished work with custom framing. The comprehensive inventory fulfills artists’ every need, featuring everything from acid-free blank stretched canvases to Lukas oil colors, which have been transmitting images to paper since 1862. Custom framing services can protect and showcase a diploma, favorite 8”x10,” or beloved box of cereal.
Art & Framing Outlet's knowledgeable staff draws on 20 years of framing experience to turn photos, diplomas, and other keepsakes into tasteful displays that stand the test of time. Custom frames accent beloved posters and prints, and shadowboxes proudly display everything from sports memorabilia to pages pilfered from ex-lovers’ diaries. Courteous employees call forth a collection of more than 2,000 mouldings from brands such as Larson-Juhl and Roma Moulding to ensure customers find a perfect match for the mat of their choice. The shop can also restore vintage photographs or transform them into canvas-based art to replace inaccurate stick-figure drawings of revered ancestors.
