Led by a board-certified plastic surgeon, Hudson Med Spas' aestheticians and medical professionals aim to restore bodies to a smooth, youthful, and healthy appearance. Four on-staff nurses perform beautifying procedures, which include laser treatments that can shrink fat cells, expunge unwanted hair, and tighten skin to give clients a youthful appearance smooth enough to get the kids' discount at a wind tunnel. In addition to medical treatments such as Botox and Radiesse, clients can opt for traditional spa services such as facials and soothing massages. Hudson Med Spas also schedules appointments after hours for an additional $20 fee, helping accommodate clients who need to work late stoking the sun's coal-burning core.
Its rapid rise chronicled in in Forbes, Men’s Journal, and a parcel of other press, Hiking Yoga has sent massive waves of invigorated bliss washing up and down the west coast since its 2009 founding. Each of its outdoor excursions melds the cardio workout of hiking with the stretching and measured breaths of yoga. Certified instructors lead pupils through scenic vistas, or, in early-morning sessions, impressionistic dreamscapes, as they alternate between heart-pumping strides and yoga breaks suitable for neophytes and the pretzel-capable alike.
Barbara Anderson is an expert in many forms of exercise, but she only has one goal. In her own words, that goal is to "teach you to move better." What does it mean to move better? For Barbara and her students, it means moving with ease and without pain, and in a way that both reflects and results in good health. Teaching since 1975, Barbara has long honed her instructional technique, and continues to shore up her skills as new workout styles and schools of thought emerge.
She's assembled a team of talented teachers at Body and Soul of Kansas City, where the team offers classes in yoga, Feldenkrais, and Pilates. Curricula also include gentle exercise options. The Feldenkrais Method, for example, uses slow repetition to instill awareness of one's body, while a class called NIA offers low-impact cardio dance. Yoga classes, meanwhile, include three different levels in addition to a pre- and post-natal option.

First Chair Fiddlers' founder, Rachel Gaither, leads a team of professional musicians and songwriters who teach students of all ages how to make beautiful music using pianos, guitars, violins, and the sound of their own voice. The team's collective r?sum? includes gigs playing in Celtic folk bands, opera performances across the country, and stints on New York City's singer-songwriter circuit. Under the team's guidance, kids and adults alike study the finer points of singing and playing various instruments, and later show off their newfound talents during summertime open-mic concerts, recitals, and impromptu 3 a.m. performances on their neighbors' front lawns. The teachers at First Chair Fiddlers also offer aspiring musicians advice on topics such as crafting a moving song or keeping a band together through lineup changes.
