The star of Boss Services' fleet of party buses is a Ford mini-bus called The Boss. The aptly named party mobile is tricked out with tinted windows, lighting effects, and a top-of-the-line music system that can blast more than 400,000 songs. The vehicle's spacious cabin can seat 18 people. As riders sip drinks and carouse in the roomy bus, their driver chauffeurs them from bar to bar, stopping at as many hotspots in the Kansas City area as they desire, for a night of letting loose. Boss Services accommodates birthday soirées, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and all-inclusive tailgate sessions that include food and tickets along with round-trip transportation to Royals, Sporting KC, or Chiefs games and parking.
Named Best Place for a Kid’s Birthday Party by the Pitch, and recently moved into a new and larger location in Tiffany Springs, Bounce House Moonwalks turns kids loose upon giant inflatables, interactive video games, a toddler area with a tiny roller coaster, and concessions. Parents can spend time using the free WiFi or hop around with their kids in the 24-foot-diameter spaceship that boasts air-filled aliens and a cockpit where kids can pretend they’re in space outrunning other inflatables. After zipping around the imagined universe, sock-clad tots clamber over, under, and through the plush tubes and barriers of the 72-foot obstacle course before cascading down its slide. Over at the Xbox 360 Kinect system, kids play interactive video games in which they use their bodies as controllers. Bounce House Moonwalks also allows families to leave the facility at any point and return within the same day for no additional charge.
For the late Dr. George Henry Alexander Clowes, the most important things in life were science and the arts. The good doctor wanted to share this devotion with the Indianapolis community, so he devised and funded Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler University. Completed in 1963, the hall shares Butler's gorgeous aesthetic with its arching stone façade and lush crimson interior, which has room for over 2,000 patrons. In addition to major touring productions and public speakers, Clowes Memorial Hall is also the home of the Indianapolis Opera, the Butler Ballet, and the Indy 500.
KC Fun Photo Booths’ state-of-the-art picture-takers are built for customizability—their curtained confines are expandable from 6’ x 6’ to 10’ x 10’ in order to accommodate large groups and adolescent horses. A touchscreen console controls the booth’s 18-megapixel camera, sending unlimited shots to the photo printer and an online gallery. A professional attendant keeps photos flowing, and a selection of props adds levity to group portraits.
