Wen Chic Image Bar, one of Aveda's first blow dry bars in the U.S., offers styling blow outs, hair extensions, and makeup application services. There are no haircuts at this upscale salon—just licensed stylists helping clients perfect their existing dos, whether that means straight-as-an-arrow strands, sassy curls, or fanciful updos for a special occasion. They'll also complete patrons' looks by performing a range of makeup services.
T Hair Salon’s expert stylists care about the little things, whether it’s offering their guests a complimentary glass of wine or making sure that not a single flyaway goes unsnipped. They perform a number of services designed to draw attention to your scalp, such as touching up roots, highlighting tips, and painting the rest of your body with upward-facing arrows.
Wherever Wenny Blackman goes, Aveda's organic products are sure to follow, and vice versa, as the stylist, aesthetician, and owner of Wen Chic Salon and Spa—an Aveda Concept Salon and Spa—has been attending Aveda classes since 1996. Needless to say, she and her skilled staff employ Aveda products exclusively to augment their repertoire of salon and spa services, including colorings that use HeadMapping, instead of traditional wizards, to predict the amount of time, product, and cost for each session.
Before the Texas board-certified stylists can cut, color, or treat hair, Blackman requires them to attend classes at the Aveda Institute. The stylists' mastery of Aveda's curriculum, coupled with their overall experience, determines their status as a stylist, senior stylist, master stylist, or director. Similarly, the licensed aestheticians and registered massage therapists reach for Aveda products during facials, massages, waxing treatments, and airbrush-tanning sessions, which are staged in the spa area's quiet summer and winter rooms, free of cell-phone ringtones and piles of burning leaves.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Geometrix has been serving the Katy area for almost 30 years. I plan to take the salon to the next level, providing premier services to every member of the family.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? After training with some of the best in the industry and learning their techniques, I knew I wanted to bring what I had learned in my years of training to the Katy area.
What do you love most about your job? I love that I get to meet new people every day. I am inspired by them all. "There is nothing that makes its way more directly to the soul than beauty"- James Addison
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? I was once donating my time for a charity event. The event was to help women with breast cancer. As I finished my guest's hair, I noticed that she was crying. She said that she never thought that she would feel pretty again until that day. We hugged and cried together. THAT was the best feedback.
Licensed stylist Theresa Casanares believes that a freshly styled 'do can transform the way a person feels about herself. Located inside Sola Salon Studios in Katy, her newly opened salon, Salon Centre, is a warm and welcoming beauty spot for clients ready for a new look. Specializing in rich color and on-trend haircuts, Theresa and her staff of stylists pay close attention to each person in their styling chairs. They make sure colors suit skin tones and clients can maintain their new looks at home. Clients pop in for a hair-sleeking Brazilian blowout, or professional makeup applications in advance of a big night out. Refusing to subscribe to just one product line, the stylists at Salon Centre use their favorite products from Aloxxi, Surface, and Mizani lines to bring out the best in their clients' hair.
