Certified by the American Lighting Association, Lighting Design's staff roams the showrooms at three area stores, helping customers make informed decisions as they choose lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and furniture to match the decor of their home or underground lair. The store’s owner and skilled interior designer, Jean Eyre, and her staff all exploit their trained eyes and keen aesthetic sense when helping visitors navigate the massive inventory or when performing free in-home consultations. The shop's thousands of fixtures range from wall sconces and large chandeliers to ceiling fans, and they all hail from quality brands such as Murray Feiss, Minka Lavery, Metropolitan, and Emerson.

In 1986, the founders of Advanced Window Products designed their company to focus on two things: crafting their own windows and professionally installing them. The idea enabled the company to act as a one-stop contractor for their clients' window needs. The desire to push themselves toward even better service led the company's skilled technicians to create windows with such features as LoE-366 glass, which can keep out up to 25 degrees in the summer heat, insulate up to 75 degrees in the winter, and allow better views of neighbors' gardens than the traditional fist-punched hole in the wall. More than 25 years later, Advanced Window Products' technicians continue to update homeowners' windows and offering free in-home estimates before every job.
What started as a project to decorate her home in high-end style using budget pieces turned into a thriving business for Finde founder Bonnie, who now teaches others how to refinish found furniture and sells hand-painted, sanded, and distressed pieces of her own. Under Bonnie's tutelage, a bulky entertainment center might become a bench with cubbies, an outdated desk might be chopped down into a mod end table, or a regular couch might magically transform into a davenport.
