At each of Crossroads Fitness' four locations throughout the Wastach Front, members of all ages build strong, healthy bodies through a regimen of group classes, personal training, and extensive wellness evaluations and health assessments. Registered dietitians and fitness experts help clients manage their fitness goals, while a schedule of BodyPump, Zumba, yoga, and resistance training burn away unwanted fat while building lean muscle. After leveling up their endurance and speed with sports-performance training or flexing their legs in a cycling class, members relax and rehabilitate muscles with on-site massage therapy.
Fun Dance Studio's instructors all use the same studio space, but they each bring a different discipline of exercise to the table. At the core, of course, are the Fun Dance classes, which combine simple choreography and upbeat music to burn calories. Other classes operate along similar lines, including Hot Hula, Sazon Latino Dance, Zumba, and Hip Hop. Not every class relies on a rhythm, though. Instructors also teach more stately forms of exercise, such as karate, yoga, and how to bench-press like a president.
With fitness-oriented facilities ranging from an ice-skating rink to racquetball courts, the gargantuan South Davis Recreation Center can host almost any type of physical activity. Recreational softball, basketball, volleyball, and hockey leagues engage both adults and kids in friendly competition, while events like an annual triathlon keep the community active and involved. The center also features a fully equipped gym with a weight room, a steam room, and an aerobics studio that hosts regular fitness classes.
Gold’s Gym lures fitness seekers from all walks of life with cardio decks, strength-training equipment, and aerobics rooms filled with energizing classes. Instead of reciting Shakespearean monologues as they jog and pedal, guests can watch movies in a cardio theater lined with treadmills, bikes, and an oversize projection screen. Free weights encourage biceps to bulge, and resistance machines tone arms, abs, and legs. Sports lovers dribble basketballs and volley racquetballs on shiny courts (available at most locations), raising their heart rates as they hone hand-eye coordination. Like the nightly news, Zumba classes take an hour and set Latin-inspired dance moves that vaporize calories to vibrant world music, along with a slew of available selections, including cardio and spin classes. Consult each location’s webpage for a class schedule and a list of additional amenities, which range from childcare to personal training (not included in today’s Groupon).
Of all the attractions inside The Wairhouse Trampoline Park's more than 30,000 square-foot facility, guests gravitate toward the trampoline courts. The main jumper court lets patrons who are 8 and older ricochet off the walls as well as the floor, and the junior-jump area lets kids 7 and younger get in on the fun. Elsewhere, back-to-back dodge-ball courts provide thrills for guests and spectators and four basketball-trampoline lanes encourage NBA-worthy dunks. Youngsters can also play video games in the facility's arcade, aptly named the Aircade, and adults can relax in the lounge area or cafe. Five private party rooms are available to rent for kids' birthday events.
