The family-owned gym has rows of stationary bikes, ellipticals, and weight machines, but CIRIUS Fitness also makes room for the Cross Training Zone. This space, which extends into the parking lot during warmer months, looks nothing like a standard gym. Tires, battling ropes, medicine balls, punching bags?they all play a part in the high-intensity workout. Instead of repetitive pounding on the treadmill or lifts at a weight machine, cross-training constantly switches up fitness routines with the swing of a sledgehammer or thrust of a kettlebell, which keeps both muscles and minds engaged. For other dynamic workouts, guests can try one of the gym's other fitness classes, such as Zumba, yoga, or mixed martial arts.
Co-owners Patrick Cabello and Brian Cirillo have firsthand knowledge of what it takes to be inspired to get fit. Patrick learned how much dedication it takes when he transformed his body from 230 pounds with more than 25% body fat to a chiseled 185 pounds. Brian spent years as a personal trainer, spurring his students toward their fitness goals with enthusiasm. Today, the fitness gurus use their hard-won experience to handpick a fleet of instructors they determine to be friendly, focused, and charismatic enough to motivate exercisers toward their own personal transformations. Inside the 2,400-square-foot studio, the instructors lead hip-shaking Zumba classes to strengthen cores, spinning classes that whip hearts into a cardio frenzy, and kickboxing sessions to equip students with defensive moves and Rockette-intimidating high kicks. Personal trainers can help gym-goers devise a strategy for achieving fitness goals, or visitors can attack the studio's cattle ropes, poles, punching bags, and monkey bars on their own.
Intoxx Fitness's trainers push groups of students to their limits in search of better fitness and stronger bodies during classes such as kickboxing, spinning, and Zumba. Though the gyms' schedules vary by location, each hosts classes for all skill levels seven days a week, both in the morning and evening. The gym floor includes a large free-weight and machine lifting area for ample opportunity to supplement in-class workouts with more targeted exercises, for which personal trainers can assist with tips, tricks, and advice on chatting up that single weight machine.
At Limitless Fitness Studios, the motto is ?live without limits,? but in order to do this, each athlete must follow the Limitless Code. Steeped in support and encouragement, the code includes tenets such as ?never compromise form for speed,? ?go hard or go home,? and even permits a little swearing as long as clients resolve to never quit. Clients employ the code during daily classes, which range from TRX suspension training and boot camp to Zumba, power yoga, and indoor cycling. Instructors also helm kickboxing classes, kettlebell training, BootyCamp, and classes that focus specifically on building a strong core.
Like a delicious stir-fry, Studio Fusion's curriculum is a healthy and often spicy mix of ingredients. An overarching goal to combat boredom guides each session, and supportive instructors monitor their students with personalized guidance, whether they're showcasing a Zumba spin or one of Cardio Kick's rapid-fire jabs. Their classes range from yoga and cardio kickboxing to aerobic step and the Latin-inspired Zumba. In BarreFusion classes, students tone muscles, increase flexibility, and improve balance with ballet- and Pilates-inspired workouts set to music. The staff also hosts personal-training sessions that continue to prioritize exciting routines, and instructors take their classes on the road for parties and fundraisers.
