Studio A Salon helps guests fully realize their beauty with a slate of hair and spa services. In addition to new hairdos, the team can perform color and conditioning treatments to keep locks from becoming lusterless. Waxing treatments are available if you want to remove unwanted fuzz from various areas on the body or recently harvested peaches, and the studio's manicure pedicure treatments keep the nails in brilliant chromatic coverings. They also have some specialty med-spa services: Cavitation, which helps burn fat deposits in the body, and infrared sauna services, which help people sweat out toxins.

Lorraine Williams isn't just the namesake of Lorraine's House of Styles—she's also its driving creative force. The Redken Artist has drawn together a similarly experienced team of stylists, many of whom are certified Redken Master Specialists themselves. Each member must complete an intensive training program—and the training doesn't end there. Continuous education keeps Lorraine's crew ahead of the latest salon trends, and they draw on that knowledge to cut and color hair, always working to enhance the natural beauty of their clients. Beyond styling, the team customizes conditioning treatments to add volume, shine, and nourishment to locks damaged by time or hats made entirely of masking tape. They can also perform on-location beautification to help clients prepare for formal events. That dedication to customer satisfaction hasn't gone unnoticed—Lorraine's House of Styles has been named one of the country's top hair havens by America's Best Salons magazine.

Q&A with Aytul, Founder-director

People go to spas to forget about the outside world. How does your decor help create an atmosphere where visitors can unwind?
The entire spa is quiet and calming, and the decor is simple and soothing. Because we are located on the second floor, we have a private and secluded ambiance.

What's the most common beauty mistake you see people make? What would you recommend they do instead?
Covering skin imperfections, such as black heads, breakouts and skin lesions, with lots of make up. To me, healthy and radiant skin is more beautiful than anything else. Start taking care of your skin instead of covering it up.

How did you get started in the industry? Did you have an "ah-ha" moment in life?
I've always been interested in health, beauty, and well-being, but I studied and worked in different fields for long time. I found out that this is the industry that could integrate all the subjects I'm passionate about. Now I love and enjoy what I am doing.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
As we say, "beauty comes from within." Adding a positive attitude in to our daily routine makes everything easier. Start your day with good intentions and positive thoughts, and let your inner beauty shine through your skin. Be the first one who smiles, because "when you smile at the world, the whole world smiles back."

Paradiso Salon's full-service beauty boutique has been pampering patrons from head to toe for more than 21 years. Amid charming wall sconces, an ornate chandelier, and full-length mirrors, hairstylists fashion custom 'dos with precise cuts and color treatments, wielding organic Surface products. Plush reclining mani-pedi chairs cradle patrons as nail techs adorn upper and lower piggies in colorful coats of Essie lacquer or CND Shellac's long-wearing gel polish, which stays chip-free for up to three weeks. Paradiso Salon's staff also provides eyebrow-to-ankle waxing services, tanning, makeup application, and eyelash tinting.

At The Skin Atelier at Les Images, the staff members rely on botanical products scientifically formulated to nourish skin and treat conditions such as acne, sun spots, and wrinkles. Each compound they use is free of parabens and harsh chemicals and can be customized for the client. With that kind of specificity, facials can address particular skin needs, including those related to pregnancy, postmenopause, and sports-related breakouts. In addition to skincare, The Skin Atelier also provides hair services and mani-pedis that technicians execute in private treatment rooms.

Williamsburg's N4 Med Spa-Salon combines natural and medical-grade treatments to help clients reach their cosmetic goals. A board-certified physician oversees treatments featuring high-tech laser equipment, which nonsurgically removes tattoos, unwanted hair, and blemishes. For a more natural turn at rejuvenation, try the organic seaweed body wrap or the custom facial—tailored to smooth out clients' every wrinkle and line written in outdated cursive font. The beauty hot spot also offers mani-pedis, massages, and waxing, and the full-service Aveda concept salon nestled inside is an oasis for styling and coloring.
