The flavorful tasting classes at West Side Wine Store include delectable pairing hors d'oeuvres of various cheeses, dips, and breads. Depending on your level of knowledge or thirst, you can choose either Wine Tasting 101 or 102. Wine Tasting 101 exposes senses to the basic traits of fine wines, allowing students to initiate their palates with six different varieties. 101-ers will learn rudimentary tasting techniques and the defining characteristics of both red and white wines. Wine Tasting 102 takes grape-based education to the next level with samples of three major reds (cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir and syrah) and three major whites (riesling, chardonnay and pinot gris) from across the globe. Guests will also be treated to a complimentary glass of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine) and a free high five upon arrival. Each class is limited to 15 persons and is about two hours long. At Adventures Unlimited, infants to 12-year-olds develop their love of learning through hands-on exploration in a safe environment, overseen by a team of first-aid- and CPR-certified caretakers. The center combines a park-like outdoor play area, ideal for aspiring tag-players and botanists alike, with an onsite trove of dress-up clothes to aid children as they become pirates or tiara-wearing pirates. Adventures Unlimited also fuels fun with snacks throughout the day, though children are responsible for bringing their own sack lunches.
Age-targeted activities abound throughout the year, with story time for infants and toddlers, after-school activities and transportation to local elementary schools for school-age children, and a pre-school for 3- and 4-year-olds with semi-structured art, science, math, and language classes. A registered private kindergarten pampers 5-year-olds with attention before transitioning them seamlessly into local public schools. During the summer months, the center’s camp hinges on weekly themes that can transform participants into chefs or educate them on Oregon’s history of hiding gold in its rivers and children's ears.

Kate Dessommes has traveled the world in search of techniques to further her knowledge of yoga. She began with a five-year apprenticeship under Luciana Proaño in Portland before packing her bags for New Zealand to study with instructor and author Donna Farhi and John Friend, founder of Anusara yoga.
At Portland Yoga Studio, Kate and her team of instructors fold those globe-gathered techniques into classes that incorporate Ayurveda, asanas, meditation, and relaxation techniques. They also offer special classes for students who otherwise might not be able to participate, such as those with MS, fibromyalgia, arthritis, or problems balancing. Classes for children and families round out the curriculum, giving parents and their kids a new way to bond that’s more active than watching television and safer than traveling to the future by falling into a coma together.
My Masterpiece Art Studio Directors Kaylin Dodge and Ilse Coffman furnish a family-friendly studio in which novice paint-slingers and budding sketch artists of all ages can explore their creative proclivities in an unconfined environment. Stations are set up like mini studios to inspire finger-painting toddlers, maze-drawing middle-schoolers, and emotion-releasing teenagers to new heights of artistry.
Our mission is to provide an exciting place for young children to play as well as a pleasant atmosphere for adults.
The main play area was inspired by the state of Oregon, with several fun animals and structures for the children to explore.
