  • Okanagan Flyboard
On a souped-up, hydro-powered flyboard, you can go soaring over sun-gilded Okanagan Lake, performing loops in the air and diving into and out of the water like a dolphin. Okanagan Flyboard gives watersports enthusiasts the opportunity to feel that kind of excitement every day. The flyboard is hooked up to a jet ski through a large hose that powerfully shoots water into spouts, creating enough force to send flyboarders skyrocketing. And it's an easy sport to master. Most guests are up and flying within five minutes. Once you've got the hang of it, you can attempt flips, dives, and midair battles with local supervillains.

  • Innerspace Watersports
A team of experienced and certified diving instructors roams the mask- and air-tank-lined halls of Innerspace Watersports, inviting initiates to dive in with introductory and certification-level scuba lessons. After confirming class times on the phone, first-timers in the Intro to Scuba lesson cover the basics in abstract in 30 terrestrial minutes, and get their fin-coated toes wet during 30 minutes of real-water experience in the pool, located in Coldstream. The open-water certification course lets beginning scuba savants expand their diving adventures beyond occasional dunks in the fish tank, culminating in certification that allows for dives up to 40 feet deep. Under the supervision of Innerspace owner Chad Edwards, two aquanauts delve through a progression of online or in-person academics, pool training, and four open water sessions. Though there is no limit on the number of students in a classroom session, only eight are allowed in the pool at a time, and additional sessions may be available as need requires.

  • Seca Marine - Kelowna
A short jaunt from Wood Lake, Seca Marine + Surf Shop ensures both boat captains and those riding the waves behind them savour the water in style. Its maintenance shop minimizes the hassles of boat ownership with teams of on-site and mobile mechanics, who revitalize vessels whatever their trouble. Its technicians can not only repair broken parts but also transport boats, install stereos and other boat accessories, or protect vessels from the elements with shrink wrap to avoid the headache of finding a boat-sized Ziploc bag. While their boats rest up in the shop, patrons can draw on a rental fleet composed of two spacious models. Over at the centre's Watersports School, coaches harness their competition experience to impart the techniques of wake surfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, and stand-up paddleboarding. Their in-depth lessons teach students to navigate the water safely and stylishly rather than constantly stopping sharks to ask for directions. More experienced aquatic athletes can rent equipment for independent expeditions.

  • The Lake Lounge on Okanagan
Even as it soars across the deep, clear blue waters of Lake Okanagan, the Lake Lounge keeps its passengers, crew, and cooperative stowaways connected to a bevy of land-based pleasures. A comprehensive sound system blasts pleasurable beats throughout its two decks, and three flat-screen TVs reaching widths up to 50 inches broadcast the passengers' choice of entertainment. On the lower deck, vaulted ceilings soar over dinner tables and an electric fireplace keeps the room warm in colder weather, and on the open top deck passengers bask in lake breezes and take in panoramic views of the water and evergreen-coated shoreline. When not focused on the scenery, they step across an elevated dance floor lit by multicoloured lights or discuss their favourite childhood pet fish over tipples from a fully stocked bar. Dinner-cruise passengers sup on a daily-changing menu that cycles through regular entrees such as cedar-plank salmon and peach barbecue chicken. As the Lake Lounge sails past opulent lakeside homes and the city skyline, the sun colours the sky as it sets and the stars sleepily stumble into place to form their constellations. The ship's crews also host wedding receptions, family reunions, and birthday parties on the dual decks.

  • Kelowna Springs Golf Club
Designed by Canadian course architect Les Furber, Kelowna Springs Golf Club’s 18-hole course invites clubbers to hunt pins across 6,176 yards of connecting fairways and greens. Seven ponds come into play throughout the round, adding a scenic touch as they wait to take the lives of golf balls that depend on inhaling oxygen through their dimples. The 501-yard, par 5 18th hole provides a dramatic conclusion to the round, as golfers play to a green framed by the clubhouse, protected by three cavernous bunkers, and flanked by a pond on its left side. After rounds, duffers can unwind at Legends Classic Grill, where a menu of savoury clubhouse fare sates ravenous hungers built up after a day of driving balls into the cosmos and suppressing unhappy swing thoughts. Course at a Glance: 18-hole, par 71 course Length of 6,176 yards from the farthest tees Course rating of 69.4 from the farthest tees Slope rating of 123 from the farthest tees Three tee options Link to scorecard
