Salon Ventures lacks one component found at nearly every other company in the world: employees. The salon’s stylists and aestheticians all work as their own bosses, deciding for themselves which services to offer and which times to book appointments. This freedom can lead to some colorful results, as the staff can decorate their private rooms in whichever way they see fit. However these rooms end up looking, they all function as sanctuaries where clients can communicate their wishes during haircuts, highlighting treatments, and manicures. The salon houses more than 20 professionals— including a stylist that trained and worked in London at the Toni & Guy Institute—, and there’s enough space inside to host large bridal parties or slip ‘n’ slide contests with shaving cream.
Emily learned how to expertly cut and color manes while a student at Aveda Institute. Now settled into the professional world, she spends her days at the helm of a salon chair inside Bello Salon, trimming stray locks and dressing up do’s with highlights.
Arti Beauty Spa's seasoned stylists harvest head-top fields in a way that updates customers' looks while complementing their sense of style. A haircut (up to $37, depending on length and thickness) gives strands a chic shape that stylishly frames faces, locking them in place for a night on the town, special occasion, or paddleboat trip around the town’s biggest gulch, and a one-color highlight ($69) tints locks with a sun-streaked glow or a head-turning hue. Each full set of acrylic nails ($45) adorns finger faces with a fresh new look that’s essential for noodling catfish. Lengthen hand tips with a new set of finger ends, and paint phalanges with a prettifying pink or a beautifying blue before dazzling passersby with pulchritudinous handshakes or the best back scratch in town.
Within Utopia Salon & Day Spa, a beauty emporium specializing in skincare, massage, makeup application, and nail services, Stephanie exploits her steady hands and keen eye to sculpt flattering 'dos. She performs men's, women's, and kids' haircuts; transforms texture with perms and relaxers; and adds vibrancy and depth with coloring and highlighting treatments. Stephanie also performs Brazilian blowouts, which leave locks more manageable than a well-trained canine actor.
Warm yellow lights linger over the salon floor like pads of butter, casting their glow on mint-green and dark-red walls. Amid these snazzy accents, skilled stylists craft equally snazzy styles and bold highlights with Raw Hair by LG. Thirteen-year veteran Lakeisha Gibson leads the team, which includes stylists as well as a cosmetologist and a master nail technician. They can render all-over color applications or refresh tresses via the soothing hydration of a deep-conditioning treatment. They also perform salon relaxers and massage therapy.
The salon floor itself is a sandy marble pattern, and elegant green plants pop against the earth tones of the rest of the salon. There are even homey flourishes such as a rustic trunk, which is either a treasure chest or brimming with pairs of scissors.
Michael's Salon and Spa has been locally owned and operated in Centerville for 35 years, resulting in generations of contented curls. Let Michael's latest flock of curl contenters maintain your follicular shrubbery's favorite shape, or ask them to sculpt an entirely new hairbatat to attract expectant butterflies. All of Michael's new designers are cosmetology-school licensed and have completed Michael's six-month to one-year training and internship program, so they're fully prepared to suds sadness out of tresses and style them to suberbity. A neck and scalp massage is included to thank cranium supporters for holding heads up and twisting both ways before crossing streets.
