Perfect Bronze's licensed aestheticians are adept at overriding ghostly complexions, lackluster lashes, and Bert-like monobrows. The salon's signature sunless tan ($50) remedies pallid pigmentation from top to toe with an odorless spray that dries in about five minutes. Made with sugar-based ingredients, the airbrush-applied spray lasts 7–10 days. A bevy of waxing treatments, such as underarms ($20), half-legs ($25), and bikini lines ($20), allow hirsute customers to return to a childlike state of hairlessness and innocence, recalling languid summer days spent sliding friction-free down gutters; whereas body bleaching wraps unwanted body hairs in individual invisibility cloaks (starting at $15).

Miami Beach Plastic Surgery Center and MedSpa’s staff of plastic surgeons, overseen by Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Tachmes, perform a wide range of aesthetic rejuvenation treatments. Each has their own corporeal region of expertise and restores the epidermal firmness of youth from head to toe with surgical forehead lifts, tummy tucks, and arm lifts.
The doctors can also put down their scalpels to perform a range of laser-based services, which can yield similar results without invasiveness. Pre- or postprocedure, patients can relax in an on-site recovery suite before exiting through the separate VIP entrance or through astral projection.
As a child, Beniley Cabrales watched her parents work at their salon in Guadalajara, Mexico, learning secrets of the beauty industry firsthand. Her passion for aesthetics led her to training in places such as Italy, Spain, France, and Japan before she opened a day spa in Guadalajara and eventually relocated to Miami. Cabrales now owns Beniley Waxing Center & Spa, where she and her team use European techniques to perform facials, massages, and firming or toning body treatments for men and women, and specialize particularly in waxing.
Not only do Cabrales and her personally trained staff members perform waxing services—including upward of 40 Brazilian waxes per week—she also trains beauty professionals during waxing workshops that include one-on-one mentoring, hands-on practical and theory exams, and tips for turning chest hair into a Superman symbol. Cabrales has also developed her own line of skincare and cosmetic products.
The team at Nails 111 believes in "good, clean fun," combining a health-conscious philosophy with a charming, shabby-chic ambiance. Antique-style tables and chairs, chandeliers, and lilac walls create an 18th-century-parlor vibe as nail techs wash and sanitize hands and set aside an individual spa kit for each guest. They wear latex gloves upon request and eschew spa chairs and whirlpool-type footbaths in favor of disposable pedicure tub liners. The crew decorates nails with Essie, OPI, or Shellac polish and also performs sleek blowouts and straightening treatments at the Blow and Go hair bar.
The salon was created by internationally trained beauty expert and Lima, Peru, native Marizza Contreras and Miami native Jonathan Nussbaum, who was inspired by a girlfriend's frustration the lack of nail salons open after 7 p.m. Nails 111 staffers refine digits until 9 p.m. Monday–Saturday, making late-night manicures possible for owls wishing to impress their prey.
After watching several of her relatives, including her grandmother, fight cancer, Terry Tribble noticed that many stores geared toward women fighting cancer had an impersonal, industrial feel. When she opened her own shop, she wanted to create a boutique feel where women like her grandmother could feel pampered. She stocks her shop with rows of fashionable wigs, colorful accessories, and post-mastectomy products. As a certified mastectomy fitter with hundreds of hours of training, she offers expert advice to help women reclaim their curves with confidence.
To restore brows lost during cancer treatments or save women the hours lost to putting on their face, she also applies permanent makeup, lining lips and eyes as well. Her skills recently earned accolades on the LiveWell Network's show Mirror/Mirror.
"You want it to be more natural," she says. "When you wake up Monday morning, you don't want to look like you're going out to the club. I specialize in bringing out that natural beauty."
Terry's boutique is painted in bright red and yellow hues, and she's scattered butterflies throughout. To her, they represent transformation. "When my clients walk in the door, they feel like a caterpillar," she says. "When they walk out, I want them to feel like a butterfly."
