The spectrum of silliness is contained within three Adventure Landing attractions: race on go-karts in front of NASCAR-scout audiences, make a mark on frenemies in laser tag, or saunter and swing on the mini-golf course. (Laser tag is not available at the St. Augustine location.) Attempt each feat before going back for one last round of your two favorites, or use them all on a five-act go-kart play. The freedom of choice applies to how you use your five attractions; however, you must expunge the fun out of this factory's frenetic free-for-all in a single visit, making it a convenient way to happily exhaust over-energized tweens and tots.

Patrons of all ages embark on hours of outdoor adventure on winding go-kart tracks and imaginative mini-golf courses at Fun Zone Amusement & Sports Park. Wristband-wearing folk hop behind the wheel of a go-kart and whip around three speed-inducing raceways. The short, oval-shaped Kiddy Karts track is designed for racers under 4 feet tall with at least three years of life experience, and licensed drivers can chauffeur younger passengers around full-size tracks, hugging sharp turns and kissing bugs that whiz by on the Road Course and Figure 8.

On Jekyll Island, waves lick the 10 miles of beaches as kayaks cut through the salty water, cyclists roll over 20 miles of paved trails, and riders on horseback clop through hushed maritime forests. All visitors to the barrier island can partake in myriad active, relaxing, or educational activities while immersed in its lush natural landscapes, where dunes give way to beaches filled with hermit crabs and shell collecting and where birders clutch binoculars to examine avian habitats and decode gulls' sign language. The island's public golf club, open since 1898, hosts two 18-hole courses and one 9-hole course on manicured greens and rolling terrain. In the summer, the Summer Waves Water Park provides a cool escape from the heat with six slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. For indoor adventurers, exhibits at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center illuminate the lives of the shelled reptiles, and a museum preserves relics of the wealthy families who used the island as their gilded getaway and a place to bury their expired money. The Jekyll Island Authority oversees all conservation and development on the idyllic island, existing to continually improve the park and its amenities.

He cruises across the glassy liquid, his wakeboard shooting water into the air behind him. As he approaches the ride wall, he hoists his board into the air at the last minute, skimming its edge and then landing easily in the water. He's a penguin at Valdosta Wake Compound. Or rather, a wakeboarder dressed as a penguin—the business gave a discount to anyone brave enough to wakeboard in Halloween costume. Its Instagram is replete with other instances where the staff, which teaches wakeboarding, doesn't take itself too seriously. But that doesn't mean they don't take the sport seriously. They have placed plenty of rails, ramps, walls, and other challenging obstacles on the waters to prove it.
