As the foremost bead store on Amelia Island, Beadlemania stocks everything necessary to craft an artful piece of jewelry. The inventory runs the gamut from simple, average beads ($0.10 each) to opulent strands ($90). Ambitious designers can peruse string-able treasures fashioned from gold, silver, and glass to make their creations stand out from body ornaments made of stale bagels. Aside from exotic coral and crystal beads and strands of petite gems and pearls ($10–$28), customers can also pick up clasps and tools ($0.50–$20) or Swarovski heart pendants ($40–$50). A soft juxtaposition to jewelry-making trinkets, the shop's selection of yarn caters to motivated needle enthusiasts or those looking to entertain bored kittens.

What sets your business apart from your competition?
Our business is extremely unique to our area. We are the only store in the region that offers beer brewing onsite through our 25-gallon all-electric system. And, to top it off, our prices will fit in any brewer's budget.
What was the inspiration for starting this business?
Beer, of course. Being an avid homebrewer, I got tired of the lack of ingredients in my local area and decided to make a change. Just having customers come in and share their recipes or experiences gives me a sense of enjoyment.
What is the best reaction you?ve ever gotten from a customer?
I convinced one customer to start making his own wine. He is now on his third batch, and just told me he wants to start a fourth already because his last batch was so good.
What?s your favorite part about your job?
Being around my passion and those that have the passion for it as well. I love giving and receiving feedback on my home brews. The culture that comes with making your own wine or beer is awesome.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
Not only do we cater to local customers, but we also have online sales. If our customer doesn't have time to come in and shop, they can order online and select "free in-store pickup." We will pick their order for them and have it ready for them to stop by. For those out of town, we offer $7.99 flat-rate shipping.
On Jekyll Island, waves lick the 10 miles of beaches as kayaks cut through the salty water, cyclists roll over 20 miles of paved trails, and riders on horseback clop through hushed maritime forests. All visitors to the barrier island can partake in myriad active, relaxing, or educational activities while immersed in its lush natural landscapes, where dunes give way to beaches filled with hermit crabs and shell collecting and where birders clutch binoculars to examine avian habitats and decode gulls' sign language. The island's public golf club, open since 1898, hosts two 18-hole courses and one 9-hole course on manicured greens and rolling terrain. In the summer, the Summer Waves Water Park provides a cool escape from the heat with six slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. For indoor adventurers, exhibits at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center illuminate the lives of the shelled reptiles, and a museum preserves relics of the wealthy families who used the island as their gilded getaway and a place to bury their expired money. The Jekyll Island Authority oversees all conservation and development on the idyllic island, existing to continually improve the park and its amenities.

The florists work closely with patrons to bundle bouquets to exact specifications. Shipments of flowers arrive at least twice each week at the store's two locations in the talons of ginormous eagles, and new arrangements are nestled alongside gifts such as gourmet baskets, live plants, and silk arrangements.

During the property-cleanup service, professional lawn doctors at Laurel Crest mow grass, edge hard and soft surface areas, cut down and spray weeds, and trim any hedges and shrubs. In order to ensure clients become life-long customers, staff members devoted to customer service listen to each person's needs during every job, post free money-saving maintenance tips on Laurel Crest's Facebook page, and serenade homeowners with a full mariachi band. Before the team rolls out, they make sure to clear loose debris, which includes air-blasting driveways and parking spots, and removing trimmings.
