With her photojournalistic eye and inconspicuous presence, Lauren Gulick has become a sought-after photographer for momentous events, especially weddings. The instinctive shutterbug hovers at the edges of each scene, snapping shots of the bride getting ready, the couple exchanging vows, or the wedding party doing The Chicken Dance with actual chickens. In addition to commemorating nuptials, Gulick also corrals families together for memorable photo shoots and captures senior portraits and headshots.
Owner Ken Buchler doesn't cut corners. He and his highly trained technicians always perform preservice consultations and postservice surveys to maximize customer experience. Clients may also solicit a contractor for home-renovation projects, such as deck staining and hardwood-floor installation, or meet with the company's on-staff color consultant for decorating help during interior-painting projects.
At 12 years old, James Ferrara's cousin let him hold the first single-lens reflex camera he'd ever touched on the condition that he not waste her film. He shot the whole roll, and hasn't stopped since. His obsession with the visual led him to film making, where he worked exclusively for the Saturday Night Live Film Unit for a decade, before deciding to return to his first inspiration – photography. Armed with an in depth understanding of visual story-telling, he opened J.Ferrara Photography and began to capture the stories of people's lives.
While he shoots weddings and engagements on site, Ferrara also hosts portrait and headshot shoots – as well as private parties – in his 1,200 square-foot studio, a former firehouse built in 1905. When not behind his camera, he takes to the classroom instead to teach intimate six-hour classes that teach a small group of students how to handle their camera with hands-on lessons.
High Tech Computer Solutions understands that computer issues don't always occur during the 9 to 5 workday. That's why in addition to in-store service, technicians offer remote and 24/7 on-call in-home computer repairs and technical services. They offer diagnostics and repairs for issues with laptop and desktop computers, screens, and hardware. Technicians will also gladly setup and install software and peripherals, recover data and protect networks, and repair devices such as iPhones or a banana phone with a cracked peel.
Though his studio is stocked with impressive props and backgrounds, certified professional photographer Aaron Pepis abides by an old-school philosophy: treat every subject as a star. He captures stills of families, high-school seniors, actors, and even pets during customized shoots, and travels off-site to meticulously document weddings. His talent for preserving personalities in his images has led to his status as an in-demand lecturer and magazine contributor, both in America and overseas. Additionally, he can restore cherished antique photos that have been damaged or even ripped into multiple pieces.
