CrossFit has been described as the opposite of specialization. Whereas some athletes excel at high jump, some professions require the strength of an ox, and some super heroes can merely fly, CrossFit seeks to help mortals achieve a high degree of physical prowess across a wide spectrum of fitness domains. And nobody understands the importance of wide-ranging athleticism better than the owners of CrossFit2C who, in a previous life, served as U.S. Navy Rescue Swimmers.
The team helps folks build strength, speed, endurance, and agility with the help of the ever-changing Workout of the Day. The WOD might require exercisers to jump onto platforms, throw medicine balls, lift enormous truck tires, or blend all of these during an average day at the gym. The result is a fit body that's up to the challenge of everyday life, whether that involves lifting grandchildren or throwing groceries onto the second story of an SUV.

Despite their diverse backgrounds—some have served in the armed forces, while others are former gymnasts and dancers—the coaches at Expedition Crossfit all have one thing in common: until now, they’ve never found anything quite like CrossFit. At Expedition, they designed new Workouts of the Day (WODs) each day based on CrossFit’s pillars of varied, functional fitness. Though the workouts constantly change, they often include a mix of exercises that range from running and weightlifting to rowing, plyometrics, cardio, and unconventional techniques such as rope climbing and tire flipping.
