Founded by a posse of Kentucky-area natives, Trifecta On 3rd distinguishes itself with an enormous bourbon selection and a gourmet bar menu heavy on specialty pizzas. These house pies include the Southwestern chorizo, made with fresh, golden corn and cilantro, and the Fireball, which scalds mouths with jalapeños, serranos, habaneros, and, when in season, the notoriously nuclear Ghost Chili. Between bites, patrons can escape to Trifecta's expansive patio lest their ear-steam obstruct others' view of the interior's seven flat-screen TVs.

Wafts of sweet hookah smoke drift through the air as players toss balls on the gravel bocce court.

If you live in Austin, no doubt you’ve seen the red “Mohawk” painted on the brick wall along River St. The Mohawk is an eclectic bar and concert venue that features live music – and wrestling. Hipsters abound to enjoy an eclectic mix of local and out-of-town artists. Multiple bars make getting your beverage of choice a lot easier. The Mohawk features a three-level rooftop patio which makes for great viewing of the outdoor stage. A frequent feature at the Mohawk is Anarchy Championship Wrestling, based in Austin. The indoor space is small, which makes for an intimate setting. A word of warning: if you choose to partake of music in the indoor space, bring ear protection as it gets very loud. Come early (doors open at 5 p.m.) to avoid the crush, er rush. The Mohawk is open seven days a week and closes at 2 a.m.
