Canadian Trophy Fishing Adventures fulfills anglers' dreams of reeling in thrashing fish worthy of bragging about during a job interview. Captains Aaron and Leo and their guides welcome groups of all experience levels aboard well-appointed vessels to cast lines for chinook (king) salmon, rainbow trout, walleye, and other species. Destinations shift seasonally to follow fish populations: groups venture to Lake Simcoe's ice-fishing huts in the winter and to Bluffer's Park Marina in the summer.

Enveloped in cool lake winds and showers of sunlight, Bait Master Charters' boats have sailed the waters of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario since 1992. Each of the company's two fishing boats boasts cabins, private bathrooms, and decks, along with professional downriggers, outriggers, planer boards, and dipsy divers. Onboard, experienced fishermen guide customers on private fishing charters, scouring Lake Erie for walleye, bass, and perch or combing Lake Ontario for salmon, steelhead, brown trout, lake trout, and gold coins. Upon the trip's closure, the staff cleans and packages all catches so that customers can bring them home to cook.

Sean and Hannah Maurer founded Lake Lane Fishing and Hunting Getaway so families could have a place to experience the outdoors together. The fishing grounds—a trout pond, a second pond with bass, bluegills, and bullhead catfish, and a creek—stay open all year for fishing by appointment, and since Lake Lane is a New York State Fishing Preserve, no license is required. In addition to renting gear and selling bait, the staff teaches angling basics, such as how to fly fish or catch a fish directly in your mouth. The 2013 Sports Show on June 1 and 2 features a free youth fishing tournament. Adults must pay a $25 registration fee for a trout and bass tourney, but cash prizes will be awarded to all age groups. Pre-registration is recommended.

Lake Lane's hunting grounds host both small and big game, including wild turkey and white-tailed deer. A shooting range also caters to hunters with bow and rifle targets. In order to help guests extend their outdoor adventures, campsites for self-contained tents and campers are available, and the Maurers have plans to introduce all-season cabins equipped with outlets for sno-cone machines in the near future.

Members of Lake Lane Fishing and Hunting Getaway get special privileges, such as entry in the monthly trout and bass fishing tournament. Additionally, Lake Lane hosts special annual events, including a sports show and chicken barbecue, and the Maurers operate a small lumberyard and sawmill onsite that offers custom furniture from black walnut coffee tables to computers made of solid oak.

Dedicated anglers can join Bayside's Let's Catch Fish fishing club, whose members enjoy discounted store purchases and boat rentals. Additionally, Bayside Boat and Tackle is a dealer for Duras portable inflatable boats, Tohatsu motors, and EZ Dock docks, which they can also help install.

Salmon and trout have a hard time hiding from Big Game Fishing Charters' 22-foot boat, even if they put on their best fake moustaches. In addition to rods and bait, the vessel brings along GPS systems and tracking gear from companies such as Fish Hawk. However, the most sophisticated fish finder stands at the boat's controls: expert angler Adrian Chapman. A member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Mr. Chapman has helped countless passengers pull fish from Lake Ontario since he started his company in 1999. He supplies everything needed for successful charters, including bait, equipment, and a second pair of hands to snap photographs once passengers reel in a prized catch.
