Robert Marlow has navigated the rapid evolution of photographic art since 1981. He specializes in straightforward studio and beach photography for families, capturing images "that people will want to use" with his simple, modern aesthetics and eye for classical composition and lighting. Making his subjects feel at ease, he draws out natural expressions that highlight their personalities through varying sessions, resulting in images of fun and goofy families, a newly engaged couple's tender embrace, or a tasteful close-up of Dad's baby bump. In 2007, he hired on photographer Heather Jean, who supplements Robert's skill with families and children with a dynamic take on actors' headshots and modelling photography.

The clinic's online media gallery exhibits a collection of video clips depicting selected med-spa services that include VelaShape, photofacials, and the internet laser that transforms kittens into master pianists.
The photography studio at Photonation captures twosomes, kids, and multifarious groups with professional equipment and flattering lighting. During the half-hour in-studio session, lens masters refine the chosen pose and ensure that no over-achieving mayoral candidates are hogging the frame in order to capture graduation pictures, family portraits, and headshots. Using Chromakey technology, photographers can employ digital trickery and cinematic green screens to place subjects in familiar and inventive backgrounds of their choice. After the shoot, camera artisans touch up images with professional airbrushing and other enhancements. Charges may apply for special touch-up requests, such as googly eyes or additional noses. The session’s perfected pose yields one 11”x14” print, one 8”x10” print, and two 5”x7” prints.

Awarded honours for store design by The Retail Council of Canada, Caya supplies modern photographers with an array of gadgetry, plus photography products and print services. After picking up a four-gigabyte USB flash drive at any Caya location, buyers plug the drive into their computer, digital camera, or brain to upload images, then drop the drive off at any Caya location for development of up to 250 4”x6” images. Using advanced printing and imaging technology, Caya can develop images with sharper contrast and more precise colour rendering than the traditional wet development of silver halide chemical printing. Caya's process blooms the deep reds, magentas, green shades, and '80s fluorescents that older modes often cannot capture, and its greater dots-per-inch (DPI) resolution capabilities can result in clearer images.
After graduating from Capilano University's cinematography program in 2005, Alex Waber decided to freeze his motion-picture sensibilities into non-moving pictures. Using the knowledge he gained during his post-Capilano photography studies at Focal Point, he's led a distinguished career capturing striking eye-level portraits of actors, designers, and drag kings, and producing gripping fashion editorials and long-exposure, movement-oriented creative work, some of which has been featured in various publications and galleries throughout Vancouver. During photo shoots, Alex harnesses his unique blend of motion- and still-picture experience to tastefully immortalize his model's images onto digital images, canvas prints, and pieces of toast.
