David Clair’s number one goal as the director and a trainer at Fitness For Living Boot Camps is to lead his patrons in having fun. He says, “If it is not fun, you won’t do it; you’ll always have an internal struggle staying motivated.” Here, the strong muscles, solid core, and slimmer waistline just happen to be a byproduct of having fun in the outdoors.
The trainers motivate clients to whip into shape with a series of smile-inducing fitness activities that often incorporate teamwork, including obstacle courses, games of soccer or basketball, and relay races. To further hone in on flexibility, strength, and balance training, campers complete a high-intensity regimen of CrossFit, TRX suspension, and Tabata training, interspersed with heaving sand bags and jumping rope. Alternatively, the Powerfit yoga camps take a blend of flowing Vinyasa-style yoga poses and Pilates techniques to the outdoors. The sessions focus on toning core muscles and building strength and flexibility. The trainers also help clients slim down with nutrition tips and meal-plan programs, and send out motivating emails that have nothing to do with money-hungry princes.
PlanetSwim founder and owner Stephan's life is a timeline of aquatic achievements, containing awards that he won as a competitive swimmer as well as several teaching titles—lifeguard trainer and Red Cross–certified swim instructor among them. At PlanetSwim, Stephan holds his staff to similar standards. Each teacher has a minimum of five years of swim-instruction experience and has also been Red Cross–certified. Together, the team channels its knack for tutelage into swim lessons for children and adults of all ages in indoor, heated pools, including the one in Louisville, which is filled with warm water to encourage students to get in.
PlanetSwim's philosophy centers around personal attention, an element that demands small class sizes and a supportive atmosphere. Whether they are leading a 10-minute lesson for a water-shy toddler or an intermediate course on different strokes, the instructors monitor their pupils closely to ensure both comfort and development of technique.

What makes your business stand out?
Vector Air is owned and staffed by aviation enthusiast and pilots who are here to make your visit and flying experience unmatched. Our main goal is to deliver the best flying experience possible at the best rate in the safest fleet.
What inspired you or the owner (if that?s not you) to start or run this business?
Jason Hurd learned to fly at the Erie airport when his parents ran the local flight school many years ago. He now operates the top notch maintenance shop and flight school that are Vector Air.
What is the best reaction you?ve ever gotten from a customer?
The best reaction from an introductory flight was when a father bought his 16 year old daughter a surprise flight lesson. She was nervous but a great sport to go along with the lesson. Within 10 minutes she was having the time of her life. It was a magical flight for her and her father. The best long term reaction from and introductory flight was when a student passed his private pilot check ride. At the end of the practical test the pilot examiner told him that that was the best practical test performance he had seen in a long time.
What?s your favorite part about your job?
As a flight instructor we are able to do what we love for "work".

The staff features instructors with PGA- and Titleist Performance Institute certification. The staff members at Sylvan Learning Center understand that each child learns differently. They design custom lessons based on the results of standardized testing, diagnostic tools, and one-on-one interviews.
Sylvan's instructors work with students from kindergarten through grade 12 to improve their confidence and independence leading to their educational success. Many of Sylvan’s certified teachers work in local schools and have familiarized themselves with common practices, which help them understand how to gear lessons toward optimal results.
