The certified instructors at XSUP teach students the ins and outs of standup paddleboarding, helping them quickly master the sport so that they can enjoy their time skimming across the water. Their lessons touch on essential skills, including maintaining balance, making forward strokes, and steering, in accordance with each student's skill level. As participants enjoy the sun and exercise, they'll also have the chance to see Laguna Beach from a new perspective and may even witness dolphins, rays, and sea lions in their natural habitats.
Now in its 32nd year, Pacific Ballet Conservatory teaches the art of rhythm and poise inside four modern studios. Its highly trained instructors?whose international credentials stem from such centers as the Joffrey Ballet and the Dutch National Ballet?mentor both children and adults with an unflagging focus on personal development. Evaluations at six-month intervals gauge every student's progress in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary styles. Pupils can also showcase their talents during the Spring Performance Series, which emulates professional theater productions with special effects and Muppet-filled box seats. Many dancers do indeed progress to the spotlight after their schooling, performing onstage at the San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, and even Disneyland.
Master Tony Park began teaching tae kwon do at the age of 12, just five years after his first lessons. Since then, not much has changed. With 38 years of experience, the native South Korean still teaches his country's martial art, but he now does it at his own facility, National Taekwondo Academy, Inc. There, Park and his staff of seasoned instructors orchestrate self-defense and fitness programs for all ages: kids, teens, adults, and mummies.
