Huw Lloyd Davies and Stu White started HDX Fit as a place where they can help others improve their own health and fitness. The center's training principles are built upon holistic health awareness, the fundamentals of nutrition, and metabolic conditioning. Alongside an excellent supporting staff, the team curates a curriculum of group training classes, personal-training sessions, nutrition consultations, and holistic life coaching.
HDX Fit also offers an online training program, a portal full of videos and written workouts for people who can?t make it to classes because their motorized unicycles are out of gas. The online program includes a weekly telephone chat with one of the gym?s trainers, who speaks to the philosophy of the center's inspirational founder.
Using a wide range of fitness strategies, Thomas Tadlock knows how to achieve desired results. During his Express Results boot camp, participants burn calories while bouncing from spring-loaded floors, vaults, and trampolines. They also tame balance beams and utilize other gymnastics equipment over the course of the one-hour, high-energy sessions. To assist those that can’t attend his classes, he offers Skype training programs and DVD courses, as well as an MP3 coaching system.
If you're going to be gasping for air, it may as well be fresh air. That's the thinking at A FIT Club, a fitness studio that hosts its boot camps at Lantern Bay Park and Salt Creek Beach Park. Owner Rebecca Boyle and her fellow AFAA-certified personal trainer Julie Biggs along with trainer Stephanie Barker oversee the boot camp, making sure to incorporate cardio, core, and strength-training exercises that all attendees can do, even squirrels.
