Creative team TJ and Merlina Porter, both Clear Lake natives, joined forces with JeMarr Rivers to open a bar and lounge that offered an upscale, sophisticated nightlife scene. As of December 2011, JeMarr has trekked on as the sole owner while still maintaining the luxe atmosphere that draws crowds for nightly dancing and partying. An expansive interior paves the way for individuals or large parties, with a full reservation and VIP area for nights on the town or special occasions. The full bar slings beer, liquor, frequent specials, and 13 flavors of daiquiris, many of which are made with Everclear so that they can be used as a torch in the event of a power outage. During the week, live entertainment including jazz bands, standup comedy, and poetry readings fill the soundscape, and DJs spin tunes almost every night. Cultivating a truly carefree yet mature atmosphere, Daiqui-Ritas often hands out complimentary door prizes, which patrons can enjoy as they watch any of the lounge's five big screen TVs.

Menopause the Musical has painted a vivid, rib-tickling portrait of four women confronting the troubles of middle age for audiences in hundreds of cities all over the world. The show tells the story of four strangers, meeting by chance at a department-store lingerie sale, who begin to commiserate on the travails of menopause, including hot flashes, mood swings, and spontaneously breaking out in song-and-dance routines. Parodying a suite of hits from the '60s, '70s, and '80s, the musical's jaunty tunes encourage dialogue about women's health while eliciting copious chortles of recognition from guests. Patrons can choose from upper- or lower-level seating in the Stafford Centre's Performing Arts Theatre, enjoying straight-on views of onstage antics or simultaneously confronting acrophobia and theatrophobia via balcony-immersion therapy.

At the Texas Yacht Show and Jazz Fest, attendees rove the decks of luxury motor and sailing yachts and soak up the sounds of Latin jazz, funk fusion, and Texas swing. When patrons are ready to exchange sea legs for dancing shoes, jazz bands invigorate listeners with toe-tapping tunes. Joining the sounds of the Ezra Charles Band and Kelly Dean, expert sailors, including the headline-making young Abby Sunderland, tell their tales in a climate-controlled tent. Saturday evening culminates in the Havana Nights celebration, as salsa and merengue dancers tap and kick in pairs and patrons light authentic Cuban cigars.
