As a fitness instructor and nutritionist, Tina Marie Schneider had almost every kind of client. She helped rehabilitate people at Centinela Hospital Medical Center, she developed regimens to give celebrities flat tummies or muscular shoulders at Paramount Studios, and she coached professional athletes in their kitchens as the
nutritionist for the LA Galaxy. The one type of client she didn't see enough of, though, was regular men and women. So, she and her husband, Tim, opened Spin 360 - Weight Loss Center in 1998 to provide a private, supportive place for average Janes and Joes to work out and diet.
Tina's fitness regimens focus largely upon the intense cardio exercise to be found atop her dozens of Spinner bikes, though she also maintains a strength training room for private workouts. She combines this program with her nutritional coaching, teaching people how to eat an ideal protein diet to support high levels of physical activity while encouraging the body to shed pounds. She points out that the most important aspect of dieting is not the initial weight loss, but learning how to maintain results at the end of the diet by eating right and running alongside the car instead of driving.

Despite the amount of sweating that goes on at Pedal Spin Studio, each boutique location is kept in pristine condition, offering guests a high-energy and regimented way to get in shape and stay that way. Pedal Spin's indoor cycling sessions are backed by fast-paced playlists to amp up exercisers as they climb hills and sprint through straightaways without ever leaving the room. Some Pedal Spin locations complement these workouts with TRX suspension training, Pilates, and group strength training, all of which help build muscle so that you can eventually flip over a whole buffet table.
A triathlete since 2004, Brandon Hament knows cycling's physical rigors and benefits firsthand. At The Cycle Annex - the indoor cycling facility Brandon has run since 2007 - his crew of instructors imbue beginners with pedal-pumping confidence at introductory sessions during which pupils first familiarize themselves with their bike before hopping on and burning calories. For cycling students of all levels, Brandon's team lead more intensive workouts such as the Ultimate 90, a combination of core and strength training that segues into an hour of riding. An abdominal workout on yoga mats follows cycling during AB 20 sessions, while interval cycling gives way to running and stretching during brick workouts. In between exercises, guests can hydrate with complementary gulps of The Cycle Annex's oxygenated, filtered water.
Natural light floods into ATP Specific Training’s recently remodeled studio, illuminating training equipment such as barbells, yoga balls, and Pilates Reformers. Members of the fitness staff, including exercise-video star and co-owner Tracey Mallett, help clients increase endurance and lose weight during innovative group classes. Available classes include Booty Barre and Indo-Row, a workout that captures all the elements of on-water rowing, as well as a circuit-style session that combines both classes. In addition to fitness classes, a physical-therapy staff blends manual techniques, modalities, and exercises to treat clients with sports-related injuries, poor balance, and post-pregnancy pain.
