All CrossFit exercises, from pull-ups and deadlifts to lunges and burpees, are inspired by everyday tasks such as squatting down to pick up a box of books or sprinting to catch the bus. At Mountain Loop CrossFit, coach Mitch Roehl trains clients to perform these everyday movements safely while improving their overall strength. He's also able to scale the intensity of these fundamental exercises to suit any fitness level.
Coach Mitch hosts CrossFit workouts every day except Sunday. He also leads an on-ramp introductory course for new students, teaching them the basics so that they can segue into group sessions without carrying around a cumbersome glossary. Fellow coach Katie Dixon, meanwhile, is in charge of CrossFit Kids classes, where children can build muscle, endurance, and a sense of teamwork.
Northwest Curves, a fitness center designed exclusively for women, provides members with a 30-minute circuit of hydraulic resistance machines designed for an efficient cardio and strength training workout. During the training, attendees can burn up to 500 calories and work each major muscle group to work toward individual fitness goals. An experienced coach is always nearby to teach and motivate participants, and a soundtrack of fun, upbeat music cues participants to move on to the next station. Instead of fiddling with weight stacks and losing momentum, the hydraulic machines use your own body weight and fitness level to create resistance. Each machine uses push-and-pull motions to create toned, lean muscles perfect for crushing a grapefruit without looking like you can.
At Raindrop Yoga Studio, instructors use yoga to help students heal injuries, detox the organs, decrease stress, and sleep more deeply. They do so through three types of yoga: heated flow to help with breath control, candlelit yin to release stress, and vinyasa to build strength and elevate the heart rate. The studio also offers bodywork in form of massage and Reiki.

After an initial assessment, the instructors guide students in proper form during resistance, cardio, and speed and agility training.
