With more than a century of bygone days tucked beneath its foundation, the Historic Everett Theatre is one of the oldest operating theatres in the state of Washington. Today, the nonprofit Everett Theatre Society owns and operates the cinema house, enriching the community through the preservation of film and screenings of celebrated features. From plush red seats, guests watch noir, horror, and cult classics, mouthing memorable lines and shaking their heads at Casablanca's CGI effects. To honor and further the impact of cinema, local expert Jon Noe introduces the film-noir showings, and Historic Everett Theatre hosts the occasional free-movie night.

The Murder Mystery Company challenges diners to exercise detective skills and fledgling telepathic abilities in a comedic evening of mock murder and faux fatalities that unfolds during a three-course meal. Between an introductory salad and a mystery-dessert epilogue, guests nosh on one of three of the Empress Tea Room & Bistro's main-course munchables, including options with fish, chicken, or vegetables fashioned to spell out a ransom note. As mouths occupy themselves, the mystery begins with a murder, and a detective soon arrives on the scene to locate the perpetrator in the audience. Tablemates work together to clear their good names, slyly sleuthing and sorting out clues, flexing critical-thinking skills, and preparing for futures in real-life crime. All patrons will receive a photo slideshow from the performance as a way to fondly remember light-hearted death-themed evenings.

Before Jordyn Palmer founded Edge Performing Arts and Dance, she unleashed her powerful pipes on the stages of Carnegie Hall and Avery Fischer Hall. These experiences, along with holding starring roles in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Jane Eyre, readied Palmer to lead fledgling singers and actors toward their own performance goals. Along with dance teacher Sanna James, Palmer leads private lessons, group classes, and summer camps that focus on stage presence, self-confidence, and turning every Shakespearean sonnet into a dance number.

Something strange happens as soon someone steps through the gates outside of Camlann Medieval Village. The past seven centuries of human existence instantly disappear, and that same person?who once existed in a world of smart phones and talking fire hydrants?now finds his or herself in living history museum of the medieval era. A narrow street winds through a rural village, where villagers make their artisanal goods in full view.

Another attraction inside Camlann Medieval Village is The Bors Hede Inne Restaurant, which keeps its doors open year-round. An innkeeper greets guests and welcomes them into the dining room, which is usually warmed by a roaring fireplace. There, glasses of mead accompany rotating monthly entrees made using authentic recipes right out of the 14th century.

Arthur Murray has been a leading name in franchise dance since 1912, when the entrepreneur began selling mail-order dance lessons. Expanding his reach, he enlisted teachers to spread his signature dance lessons on first-class steamships and skyrocketed to fame in the '30s after introducing the public to such dances as the Lambeth Walk and The Big Apple. By the 1950s, Arthur and his wife, Kathryn, were hosting their own highly popular TV show on ABC, The Arthur Murray Dance Party, which ran for 12 years. Today, Arthur Murray's team prepares students for rug cutting at special events and weekend nightclub jaunts. Clients who arrive to lessons partnerless will be paired up with other classmates as the instructors assess their current skill level and make recommendations on the most appropriate program. Throughout lessons, instructors teach the foundations of two to four dances from a long list of styles that range from Latin to country-western, helping students to learn basic step patterns, timing, and the ability to lead or follow.
