The instructors at Harp Health & Fitness work to help their students burn fat and increase muscle strength during each boot-camp class. After an initial assessment, the instructors guide students in proper form during resistance, cardio, and speed and agility training. For best results, the staff members recommend a nutrition plan for each student to follow during boot camp.
Snohomish County's largest full-service family athletic club, Columbia Athletic Clubs has something for everyone. One hundred group exercise classes are offered each week; Cycle Cross takes place in the cycling studio while Water Aerobics and Aqua Motion utilize the Big Pool. Hot yoga and classes in the Mind/Body Studio come included with each membership. There's also an indoor Salt-Pure lap pool for advanced swimmers and shiny-sunken-object-retrievers. A talented group of personal trainers work with clients to get the most out of every workout.
The club's amenities extend beyond pure fitness. The Silver Lake Cafe serves up healthy and tasty meals, and massage therapy is offered onsite. At the Kids Club, youngens can play games under the supervision of an experienced staff while parents hit the gym.
Rosie Hardy, owner and instructor of ShakeItLatinStyle and a lover of dance, started ShakeItLatinStyle Dance Fitness to not only share her love of movement with others, but also to reveal that dancing isn't just fun?it's good for you, too. Earning "Best of Western Washington" awards in both 2012 and 2013, she designs her Zumba and Hot Latin Nights classes herself, using custom choreography combined with her multiple Zumba and fitness certifications to get pupils moving their feet to upbeat Latin music inside her roomy dance studio. Her experienced and diverse staff also coordinate and host a variety of classes that include Ultimate Hard Body, Chisel! "Abs and booty!" Burn, and U-Jam Fitness.
To fitness trainer Jon Chacon, the first order of business with any client is building a sturdy foundation of strength. His boot camp, athletic training, and strength camp incorporate both strength training and conditioning with bursts of high-intensity exercise. Pared-down workouts in a spartan facility use tools, such as ropes and sandbags, that emphasize agility and functional strength?values familiar to Chacon, whose experience ranges from commercial fishing to the Marine Corps. He also guides clients with nutrition and supplement guidelines, as well as monthly weight and body fat measurements.
