A joint venture between a professional boxer and a team of successful kickboxing-equipment tycoons, Title Boxing Club maintains a network of dozens of studios spread across 19 different states, winning over a devoted clientele with its invigorating and engaging boxing- and kickboxing-themed classes. Each workout uses the heart-healthy exercise of cardio training to satisfy people’s innate desire to punch and kick something other than a broken jukebox. Participants build lithe, strong muscle tissue by delivering powerful blows to punching bags, and build flexibility and agility by practicing roundhouse kicks and hooks. Students can build their core strength and endurance with medicine balls and burpees, enlist a qualified personal trainer to practice their newfound skills in the ring, or just torch calories during intense full-body Power Hour workouts.
Spawned by gung mao kung fu, a form of martial arts developed in 19th-century Okinawa, Gangi kung fu arose in 1985 thanks to Master Soshihan Joe Gangi. He held a black belt in gung mao kung fu, goju karate, jujitsu, and many other forms of martial arts. So he combined ancient and modern components of MMA to create something new: Gangi kung fu. The method married yoga-inspired conditioning moves and meditation with sparring. At Gangi Martial Arts & Fitness, Master Gangi and his assistant teachers continue to promote the unique practice through their martial-arts classes.
At FLO CrossFit, their vision combines martial arts with the cardio and endurance of fitness. Multiple black-belt-holding and championship-winning instructors pour more than 100 combined years of experience into molding students of all skill levels into accomplished martial artists. The 8,500 sq. ft. facility contains a wide variety of state of the art equipment, such as an elevated boxing ring, collegiate wrestling mat, tatami area, and weight machines. They also offer free weights, and a cardio area with elliptical, treadmills, and bikes.
Boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, krav maga, mixed martial arts, and muay thai kickboxing are just a few of the classes on offer; FLO encourages students to combine aspects of multiple styles to create a formidably balanced skill set. Memberships grant users unlimited access to the gym and group classes, and private lesson and personal training packages customize regimens with one-on-one attention.

Larry Lentz understands how to take fitness goals to the next level of achievement. On top of his own accomplishments, which include century rides, marathons, triathlons, boxing titles, and Ironmen competitions, he has helped others find their most fit selves by serving as a U.S. Navy Command fitness leader and a head coach to the ASU boxing club. Today, he and his staff—all of whom are former military or former boxing champions—at Toughman Bootcamp put their experience to use by helping clients obliterate calories and build muscle in bootcamp, boxing, and kickboxing programs.
It takes a black belt or its equivalent to become an instructor at Spider Gym MMA, where the staff expertly guides students through martial-arts training. Kids and adults can train in Brazilian jujitsu, a style of self-defense that teaches them how to immobilize an attacker and escape from a situation. To complement martial-arts training, the gym offers fitness classes such as cardio boxing, as well as yoga.
