Cyclic Variations in Altitude Conditioning (CVAC) simulates a cycling of changes in pressure, temperature, and oxygen, boosting blood’s oxygen-carrying and adaptation capacity to help improve stamina. At Complete Clinics, CVAC explorers step into a pod and spend their 20-minute session listening to music, talking on the phone, or thinking about dinosaurs while the atmospheric changes around them simulate going up and down a mountain somewhere between 200 and 500 times. High-altitude hijinks have always been a favorite way for cyclists, pro athletes, and cowboys to boost their endurance and polish their performance, but it’s being found to have benefits for ordinary folks too. Stanford University recently studied CVAC’s effect on insulin resistance and metabolism, two key factors in obesity. And CVAC users say it helps them sleep better, be more alert, and stop losing their car keys. Click here to see CBS News Chicago’s coverage of how CVAC works and its benefits.

Hidden within Buffalo Grove's corporate woods area, off Milwaukee Avenue, we are one of the areas best kept secrets. We are a full fledge Medical Spa that has multiple doctors on staff, including Dr. Lopez, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, overseeing and performing many of the other results-based procedures.
The goal of the staff members at New Age Wellness and Weight Loss Center is to treat the body as a whole instead of focusing only on bits and pieces and thus performing temporary treatments. They use a variety of techniques, which aim to help clients achieve weight-loss goals including noninvasive laser liposuction and medical weight-loss programs with nutrition plans and food-sensitivity analyses. They also perform acupuncture treatments that may help reduce stress, assist in digestion, and support weight loss.
Under the expert guidance of Dr. Dimitry Likterev, the staff at Absolute Health Clinic harnesses FDA-approved Zerona cold-laser technology, designed to reduce corporeal circumferences by an average of 3.5 inches. Low-light lasers break down adipose tissue, releasing disintegrated lipids into the body where they can then be absorbed by the lymphatic system and expelled through the body’s natural detoxification process and complex system of water slides. The noninvasive treatment does not require any recovery time. Patients can boost results with healthy eating habits, daily exercise, and regular hydration. Like sumo-wrestling costumes, caffeine and alcohol decrease the procedure’s potency.
