As owner and head trainer of ThoroughQuest Acres, Dundee Bartlett has given form to her belief in using a patient, kind approach to produce a well-rounded rider. Her team of seasoned instructors shares her perspective, training riders as young as 5 in the hunter and jumper styles of riding with subtle incorporation of dressage principles to help build balance and suppleness. The facility, with its large outdoor arena and pair of indoor arenas, anchors the outfit?s 15 acres, granting students ample space to practice their form. Each lesson program begins with the basics, such as mounting and dismounting, before moving on to more advanced techniques, such as trotting, cantering, and dismounting with an aerial toe touch.
League play, friendly outings, family birthdays—all happily coexist on Lakeside Lanes’ 32 lanes. Of these, 12 are equipped with bumpers for kids or adults who prefer to think of bowling as a giant game of billiards. After league play ends on Friday and Saturday nights, the music grows louder and black light bathes the lanes for cosmic bowling.
The attached restaurant, the Dockside Diner, isn’t particularly near any docks, but the “diner” part is more than accurate. A pair of sock-hoppers dance on the teal and purple striped walls, and chrome railings zip around a checker-tiled room where guests munch wings, burgers, and pizza. An arcade and game room adds more entertainment options with pool tables, darts, and video games.
Towering inflatables shelter bounding, sliding, and climbing youngsters inside Party Fantasy's play facility. Staff supervisors strap adventurous tykes into the rock-climbing wall's safety equipment, then let them clamber up to the ceiling's lofty heights. Redeemable prizes await recipients in the arcade, featuring games such as air hockey, and the toddler area accommodates tots with toys and costumes to play dress-up.
Guardians enjoy comfortable seating throughout they play area and are entertained with high-definition televisions and free WiFi. In addition to open play for kids of all ages just dropping in, party packages sequester celebrations into one of two private rooms.

Lessons cover all aspects of sound riding, even incorporating non-riding topics such as grooming, handling, and tacking up. Once aboard their friendly mount, students absorb sound technical approaches to riding and jumping and take their mastery to the next level by working on the intangible skill of good communication with the horse.
