Jaiya Figueras started playing football as a child and eventually tackled his way up to the professional level in Canada, cultivating a career that inspired a passion for coaching. In addition to working as a high-school teacher and football coach, Figueras spent his post-pigskin years studying sports sciences and writing books about training. Eventually, he became a personal trainer, and one of his clients was Kimi Idio. Idio wanted to reboot her sedentary lifestyle, and with the help of Figueras' individualized attention, she was able to change her body and habits. Together, the duo formed Epic, where groups harmoniously endure intense guided workouts. Some workouts focus on muscles, others incorporate unconventional props, such as weighted rubber chickens, and some are designed for runners or football players.
Core Fusion Fitness models its facility after a day spa, from its chic aesthetic to its mix of private and shared spaces. Instead of manicure stations and private treatment rooms, however, there’s a room with Pilates machines, a space for stationary bikes, an open gym area with punching bags and a boxing ring, and a spacious studio with high ceilings to facilitate dumbbell juggling. The origin of Team Appleby Fitness is a tale of two Applebys. Tanya Appleby, meanwhile, hails from Northern California. For awhile, she led an inactive, unhealthy lifestyle. Then she met Steve in 2000. Today, Steve and Tanya both boast multiple certifications, including personal training. They combine their decades of experience to offer a variety of training programs, assisting clients in weight loss, muscle training, endurance training, and more.
Using a wide range of fitness strategies, Thomas Tadlock knows how to achieve desired results. During his Express Results boot camp, participants burn calories while bouncing from spring-loaded floors, vaults, and trampolines. They also tame balance beams and utilize other gymnastics equipment over the course of the one-hour, high-energy sessions.
