  • Green Mountain Chiropractic and Massage
For more than 30 years, patients have come to Green Mountain Chiropractic and Massage for pain relief and a boost in their overall health. But before offering any treatments, Dr. Mark Wolff, D.C. or his team of specialists work with clients to understand their concerns and create a customized treatment plan that targets their needs. They then realign spines with traditional adjustments and perform advanced treatments such as computer-controlled spinal decompression and deep-tissue laser therapy, which stimulates healing on a cellular level. Dr. Wolff, D.C. also specializes in holistic healing methods. As a certified acupuncturist, he has performed thousands of treatments over the years, using traditional fine-tipped needles or, alternatively, laser beams to relieve bodies of a variety of aliments. Additionally, registered massage therapists relieve clients’ stress and tension by loosening muscles, ligaments, and impossibly stuck jar tops with soothing strokes and targeted pressure.

  • Rae of Light Aromatherapy Massage
Rae Marie bases her business, Rae of Light Aromatherapy Massage, on the use of scented oils. In a candid essay, she explains why: as a teenager, she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Rae spent her high-school years cycling between different medications and inpatient programs, but continued to feel mired in negative emotions?when she didn't feel like a "walking vegetable," that is. In 1993, something changed. Rae's mom, an alternative healer, was enrolled in a course on essential oils. When Rae reluctantly accompanied her mom to class, she intended to sleep through it. But by the end of the lecture, the soothing scent of an oil called "joy" had put her mind at ease, and as the duo smelled it in the car, they found it facilitated communication between them. Over the next few months, Rae learned more about oils, eventually stopping her medication and leaving the hospital to focus in on a new path in life. Today, at her massage clinic, she helps others experience the dramatic changes she went through via a variety of massage modalities, oils, and spa packages.

  • Connolly Irish Dance
Louise Connolly spent six years touring five continents with Lord of the Dance. For most of that time, the two-time Irish Dance World Champion from Dundalk, Ireland played the female leading role as Saoirse, the virtuous, white-frocked dancer who tries to save the hero from the temptations of pork rinds. As this epic production crisscrossed the globe, Louise became a cultural ambassador for Irish dance, to which she is now a certified teacher with the Irish Dance Commission in Dublin. At her dance studio, both soft- and hard-shoe dance is taught to boys and girls, children and adults. Depending on the type of jig performed, students slip on lace-up ghillies or hard shoes with fiberglass tips and heels. While maintaining a statuesque torso, the dancers kick, tap, shuffle, and twirl in solo dances or céilí routines that contain up to 16 people. For toes that desire reward beyond the occasional jello soak, the studio can prepare them for competitions called feis, which judge choreography and execution at regional, national, and world levels.
