The multi-talented stylists at Requel Anthony's Grand Salon don't just clip hair, they maintain the health of it. Besides accomplishing services such as cuts and colors, they address hair and scalp conditions with ultra violet treatments that stimulate follicles to activate growth and keratin treatments that strengthen and repair tresses. They also specialize in non-surgical hair restoration and extensions, blending natural hair with weaves or crafting custom wigs. To compliment new looks, the team also applies make-up and eyelash extensions.
The Oriental Martial Arts College (OMAC), founded by Sr. Grand Master Joon P. Choi? a 10th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo? has been teaching the Moogong-Ryu system of martial arts since 1963. All of the dojang's instructors must know Korean martial arts in order to make classes accessible to as many people as possible. OMAC's classes range from Little Tigers (ages 4?6) classes for kids and youth (7+), taekwondo, hapkido, gumdo, fitness and healing arts like power tai chi, action yoga and kimoodo healing art, to advanced black belt training with Grandmaster Choi throughout their multiple Central Ohio locations. OMAC has more than 35 branches worldwide.
At Ohio Krav Maga & Fitness, a facility staffed by decorated martial artists and coaches, experienced instructors guide students through self-defense classes. Those that lead the studio’s namesake Krav Maga courses show students how to work with their body’s natural instincts to take down a predator or quell the body’s urge to start the wave with every conversational mention of sports.
Further self-defense skills emerge during muay thai combat and weapons disarming seminars. In the gym’s fitness corner, cardio kickboxing slings five rounds of fast-paced punches and kicks, while yoga helps fighters wind down and leaves them more relaxed than a sloth traveling through taffy. The facility also offers CrossFit classes, where students perform a variety of functional movements in short bursts of maximum intensity to burn fat and rapidly build muscle.
At Victory Fitness Center, members pump iron in the weight room and pedals on the stationary bikes before giving weary muscles respite in the whirlpool or sauna. Besides providing fitness coaching to keep everyone on the right track, the gym also provides an environment free of intimidation with men- and women-only workout areas. To supplement those workouts, the staff designs easy-to-follow weight-loss programs, and certified trainers lead group classes such as Zumba, boxing, and boot camp.
People come to the yoga mat for a variety of reasons, which is why L-Yoga Flow's empowering classes strive to nourish its patrons on a physical, mental, and spiritual level. Studio founder and creator of the L-Yoga Flow, Natalie Kristine, has combined her favorite aspects of all the exercise modalities she has studied, which include tai chi, ballet, Ashtanga yoga, boot-camp workouts, and reiki, into a class schedule that aims to bring the best out of yogis.
