Devoted to preserving Cajun culture by sharing it with the public, Cajun Pride Tours’ knowledgeable and passionate guides lead groups on tours that explore area swamps, plantations along the Great Mississippi River Road, and the historic districts of New Orleans. They also stroll along city streets in the French Quarter in New Orleans, the Garden District, and areas that display the lingering effects of Hurricane Katrina. On boat trips, groups can spot friendly gators while floating through the Manchac Swamp—a protected area that prohibits any hunting, fishing, or tickling of the native wildlife. A short drive past the swamps drops tourists off near the area’s plantations that are notable for their history, architecture, landscaping, and insight into Creole culture.

Their engines emitting a basso purr, a fleet of Honda ATVs and Polaris RZRs tears across more than 450 acres of lowland trails and overgrown puddles at the Bonnet Carré Spillway. Against the watercolor blur of the swampy land, the company’s photographers work to capture action shots of riders surrounded by veils of mud waves in midair. To ensure safety on excursions, ATV Swamp Tour’s instructors prepare patrons to lead the all-terrain vehicles over hills, through deep mud, and around water obstacles. Properly equipped with helmets, boots, eye protection, and knowledge of the ATVs' fears, riders explore sandy beach areas and wooded trails while catching glimpses of native cranes, alligators, and wild hogs.

Creationz by You grants each of its guests total artistic license?but not without guidance. Attend one of its canvas-painting parties and you'll leave with a masterpiece of your own creation. Adults eat snacks and take advantage of the studio's BYOB policy as they follow along with an instructor to complete that night's themed painting, while kids might paint their canvasses with flaming baseballs or peace signs. And, besides canvas painting, students can also enroll in classes that help them hone their painting technique or learn to etch glass.
