Terrible Herbst's staff cares for cars and the environment by swiping vehicular surfaces with eco-friendly Blue Coral products. During the ultimate full-service wash, vehicles are scoured inside and out over 20–25 minutes. Valets escort vehicles to the drive-thru tunnel, in which cars luxuriate in a bath of foam. A car caretaker then towel-dries its exterior and takes to the inside, wiping windows, dashboards, and consoles, and vacuuming dirt and Australopithecus-era crumbs from carpets. Wheels emerge from the treatment purged of dirt, and tires debut enameled in a protective dressing. The VIP express car wash with RainX cleanses cars in less than five minutes with a human-operated pre-scrub, then sends them through the underpass to bask in bubbles and a spot-free rinse.
An experienced personal trainer, amateur bodybuilder, and former gymnast, Carrie Carmichael discovered her true calling while helping her fellow cops stay in shape. Her fitness career quickly evolved from part-time personal trainer to entrepreneur in 2008, when she opened her gym. Alongside a team of certified trainers, Carmichael now conditions clients of all fitness levels with a high-intensity style that uses functional movements and short bursts of cardio to whittle and tone bodies. The trainers safely guide students through the nine foundational CrossFit movements: squats, front squats, overhead squats, press, push press, push jerk, deadlifts, medicine-ball clean, and sumo deadlift high pull.
The trainers teach CrossFit classes in levels one and two to ensure that their clients' muscles are not overtaxed. They also shape up little ones during CrossFit kids' classes. When they're not teaching their students to toss around weighted medicine balls or deadlift a beached whale, trainers customize workouts with personal-training and yoga classes, as well as amplify results with USANA nutrition supplements.
Carpet Green Clean's technicians purify carpets with an eco-friendly, completely dry deep-cleaning process. After an initial vacuuming and a pre-spray treatment to prep any heavy stains, they sow their special cleaning compound—a biodegradable, organic, and nontoxic mixture that poses a threat to none, save the dust, dirt, and soaps running amuck in your carpet. Next, they break out a special machine that drives the compound down through all nine levels of carpet, then sucks it back up right along with the grime, rendering underfoot areas clean without drying time or soapy residue. Carpet Green Clean's cleaners aren't limited to the world of carpets—they also strike out bravely into the land of tile, grout, upholstery, air ducts, and dryer vents, cleaning equipment in hand.
Carpet stains are unsightly, whether they come from spilt wine, pets, or the constant flow of foot traffic. Since 2009, OT Carpet Cleaning has lifted stains from clients’ carpeting, leaving homes looking cleaner and newer from the floor up. They also remove stains from upholstery and protect fibers with applications of Scotchgard.
Coinciding with National Bullying Awareness Month, Nevada PEP plans to raise awareness about the dangers of bullying this October by installing its disability-bullying- prevention programs in local schools. In each school, bullying-prevention bulletin boards, pledge bookmarks, and school-wide announcements will suggest ways for students to stand up to bullying and encourage them to help abolish bully behavior from their school culture. The program aims to reduce individual incidents of bullying and create a climate where students feel safe to learn. Nevada PEP requires additional funding to help cover the transportation, production, and material costs of running the disability-bullying-prevention program in schools.
