Renew Medical Spa emerged from a combination of Dr. Jin Lee's medical expertise and her own quest for flawless skin. She holds her aestheticians to a high standard as they perform the same laser and medical-grade cosmetic treatments with which she found personal success over the years. From rejuvenating spa facials and peels to microcurrent, radio-frequency, and television-static skin tightening, the med spa's services help clients fight the signs of aging and feel beautiful.
Master aesthetician Jamie Lee Metz has gathered her fair share of accolades over the years. From 2008 to 2010, her spa was voted Best of Citysearch in eight categories, and Summerlin magazine has given her a five-star global spa resource rating. She leads a team that uses a wide array of advanced beauty tools, such as Cutera lasers and diamond-tip microdermabrasion wands. State-of-the-art products on hand include hard and soft waxes, organic herbal concoctions, and cleansers loaded with collagen and enzymes. Understanding that each client's skin is different, the trained team take time to perform a detailed evaluation before administering any of their signature facials, waxing services, skin care treatments, hair removal, and various laser services.
As a division of Valhalla Wellness and Medical Centers, Valhalla MedSpa puts an emphasis on medical-grade care with a team that includes a registered nurse and laser specialist. Instead of fighting sickness, this team works to roll back the clock and help clients reach their aesthetic goals. Specialists administer facials with scientifically formulated SkinCeuticals products and smooth wrinkles with Botox or fillers. Zerona laser treatments provide a quick fix for clients who want more pronounced curves, and custom weight-loss programs offer a more sustained approach to weight loss. The wellness centers also promote overall well-being with chiropractic care, internal medicine services, and massage therapy.
"Just think of us as the Gucci of hair," says Canyon Falls Spa & Salon managing partner Adam Rimmel. "If you want nice hair extensions, you come to me." That's because Adam, who has worked in the extension business for more than six years, works with exclusive suppliers to bring in 100% human hair. He also ensures that a state-accredited company certifies all of his extension master stylists.
But Canyon Falls Spa & Salon's three locations offer more than just extensions—clients can expect attentive, professional service from any hairstylist, aesthetician, or nail technician on the staff. "They're all local, so they're all looking to build their clientele based on their positive customer experiences," Adam says, adding that many of his employees have a following of regular customers. He also calls out his "phenomenal" skincare staff members, who boast an average of 10–12 years of experience. Intent on "improving skin, not just pampering skin," they wield premium beauty products whose quality often makes a strong impression—clients "know the difference as soon as they smell it," Adam says.
All the locations have private rooms for facials and waxing, as well as massage chairs with footbaths for pedicures. The Lake Mead Boulevard and Eastern Avenue locations also employ massage therapists who help clients work out kinks caused by twisting around to look at their newly beautified hair from the back.
The aestheticians at The Spa at Lakeside 2.0 invigorate bodies with purifying skin scrubs, relaxing massages, and cleansing mini facials. The therapeutic sea salt and sugar scrub unites olive, safflower, and jojoba with sugar to rid the body of freeloading cells, softening and moisturizing skin in the process. An Indian head massage slackens tense muscles in the neck, shoulders, and upper back as patrons overlook the lake from the spa's back terrace, barring inclement weather or nature going on strike. Or opt for a 25-minute full-body Swedish massage, during which licensed massage therapists apply a seed-oil-based gel and knead bodies with long, flowing strokes, which, like handing out free copies of a magazine, can increase circulation. An accompanying mini facial exfoliates skin and soothes faces with a steam and customized mask.
Hibiscus Day Spa’s body-treatment menu looks good enough to eat: the pumpkin body soufflé softens skin with enzymes, and the Ultimate Chocolate Indulgence tantalizes the senses with a cocoa scrub and chocolate-butter massage. Though not as epicurean, Hibiscus’s other spa treatments are similarly luxuriant. The dual massage recruits two therapists to work on a client’s muscular tension, and a Caribbean Queen facial slathers skin with an aromatic blend of peptides and hydrators. Specialty treatments for expectant mothers and brides-to-be fill out the selection, as well as teen services; mini facials help instill healthy skincare habits and massages tackle high-school sports injuries and tension from hanging on a flagpole by your underwear.
For maintenance less aesthetic and more energetic, Hibiscus also boasts an onsite health and wellness center. Here, clients can look to traditional Chinese healing therapies such as sliding-scale acupuncture and reiki energy balancing. Custom nutritional counseling helps participants embrace long-term healthful eating habits.
