Color Me Mine puts paintbrushes and pottery in the mitts of customers old and young. Budding Toyozo Arakawas will follow six easy steps to craft beautifully painted ceramics, first choosing a ceramic piece (most cost between $10 and $75) from Color Me Mine's selection of hundreds of seasonally changing items. After charting out the desired design from individual imagination or Color Me Mine's technique sheets, painters will select an underglaze from Color Me Mine's cast of more than 50 colors, then apply paint with the focus of a peregrine falcon occupied by a Rockwellian spirit. Color Me Mine handles all kiln-firing work, allowing clients to take home their final products within three to five days. A studio fee of $6 for children under 12 and $8+ for adults and children over 12 covers all paints, supplies, glazing, and firing.

New York transplant Gerry and his son Shaun, owners of East Side Pizza at Boca Park, understand just how high their home state sets the bar for great family pizzerias. So several times a week, they send out orders for shipments of fresh pizza dough from their supplier back on the East Coast. It's just one of the little things that ends up having a big impact on the taste and texture of their hand-tossed, New York–style, thin-crust pizzas. The fresh dough is covered with housemade marinara sauce and topped with both traditional and surprising ingredients, creating specialty pies such as the barbecue chicken, chicken marsala, and eggplant rollatini, each sold whole or by the slice.
Their full menu features calzones, pastas and hot sandwiches, including their signature meatball sub topped with mozzarella. Choose to dine in, and you'll find yourself in a comfortable dining room surrounded by flat-screen TVs and sports memorabilia.

Little did Lisa Cornish know when she was learning to cook in her Sicilian grandmother’s kitchen that the skills she was learning would lead her to the other side of the globe. Her culinary journey taken her to New York and, most recently, Las Vegas, where she has appeared on KVBC Channel 3 and as a celebrity judge in various Las Vegas cooking events. Through Chef@YourHome, Chef Lisa redefines the idea of the personal chef, crafting in-home meals to match to client’s events. Some of her popular menus include an Asian-inflected spread of miso soup, pan-seared sesame salmon, and chilled Thai-style summer rolls; alternatively, the Mediterranean buffet plies diners with olive, feta and cucumber skewers, chicken francese, and penne pasta in pink vodka sauce. Chef Lisa shares her mastery of the kitchen either by preheating the oven without building a fire or through cooking classes conducted in students’ homes or one of her own personal kitchens.
