Life Adventure Center of the Bluegrass runs across 575 acres, half of which is preserved as one of the most heavily wooded areas in Woodford County. Several ponds, creeks, and miles of trails wind through the natural landscape, allowing hikers to bond with their environment before heading back to the farm's bustling equine, cattle-ranching, and crop-restoration programs. Life Adventure Center focuses on experiential education, encouraging others to practice hands-on learning in a natural setting through programs including survival clinics, nature photography, navigation, and horsemanship. Instructors strive to customize courses, accommodating each participant's needs, abilities, and talents for interpreting horse languages.
Diamond View Farm owner Kristen Bagdasarian and assistant trainer Shane Mullens share their wealth of riding knowledge during lessons for beginner through advanced. Their facility features both an indoor and outdoor arena, and hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including ladies nights and an educational Saddle Club for youth riders under the age of 18. During the holiday season, Kristen and Shane adorn Diamond View with festive decor and dish out hot cocoa after lessons.
The Midwest Mayhem auto show hosts a colorful collective of roadsters from across the state, sporting tricked-out doors, iridescent rims, and detailed custom paint jobs. Cars bound into the air during the hydraulics contest and dip under the pole for a mini-truck limbo contest. Guests also test their manmade skills at pizza-eating contests and the chocolate-milk chug. Live bands and DJs pump the airwaves full of sound, and judges select the winners from a number of categories, such as best lowrider, best engine, and tastiest hubcap.
Designed by famed Australian golfer Graham Marsh, Old Silo Golf Course engulfs 209 acres of hilly terrain with a challenging 7,011-yard layout. Bent-grass tees, fairways, and greens form manicured chutes through bluegrass rough, a difficult outlier that lures errant shots with its long blades and hypnotic plucking of ancient fiddles.
Somerset Creek comes into play on five holes, looming on the edges of 7 and 17 and presenting a forced carry on holes 6, 15, and 16. The par 72 course concludes with a 574-yard par 5 in which players must navigate a three-sectioned fairway and 8 of the course's 84 white-sand bunkers.
Rather than rummaging in their golf bag for forgotten candy bars or stowaway potatoes, players can quell appetites at Old Silo's restaurant, which serves a menu of pulled-pork sandwiches, cheeseburgers, and other casual grill fare. On weekends, grillmasters barbecue steaks, beef brisket, and ribs on the outdoor balcony that overlooks the golf course.

Jon boats and pontoons putter across the calm waters of Wilgreen Lake Marina, while just beneath the surface, bass and bluegill flit past fishing lines. Founded by passionate bass angler Randy Nunley, the idle-speed marina strives to serve as a fisherman’s oasis. In addition to the rental fleet, a bait shop peddles live bait, tackle, and waterproof love notes for luring in fish. Nunley also fires up competitive spirits with annual bass tournaments.
