John F. Hogan Jr. was a consistent man. He had been clocking in to the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company’s corporate office in Akron each day for more than 25 years, learning the ins and outs of its tires. Then, in 1984, he made a slight change. He decided to move to Virginia, open Hogan & Sons Goodyear, and share his knowledge of Goodyear’s tires there. Since then, his business has grown right along with his family—there are now eight locations and many more Hogans. All of the full-service automotive shops have complimentary shuttles and, of course, Goodyear tires. The full-service auto repair shop is staffed by continually trained ASE-certified technicians, who swap out motor oil, realign wheels, inspect brakes, and teach air-conditioning units how to whistle during maintenance and repair services. They service all makes and models and include a 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty on all their work.
AAMCO Transmissions' locally owned outposts dot cities and towns from coast to coast. Since AAMCO opened 50 years ago, its transmission masters have extended their range of services to the realm of total car care, offering cars with faulty brakes, dirty oil, or broken air conditioners some one-on-one time with a handy mechanic. This commitment to full auto health also underlines AAMCO's promise that every vehicle receiving service is privy to a free multipoint inspection, during which mechanics explore beneath the hood, under the car, and in the GPS navigator's psyche to ensure safe operations and optimal performance.
At Foreign Car Service Center, meticulously trained ASE-certified mechanics dutifully toil away at engines to administer life-extending oil changes, parts replacements, wheel rotations, and computerized diagnostics. The hardworking handyfolk service nearly any make and model, but focus specifically on tending to the exotic innards of imports and the expensive diamond-plated parts of luxury vehicles.
