Few people own a trademark. Dr. Jerry Darm of Aesthetic Medicine owns three. He pioneered the trademark procedures of LaserLift and LipoLift, which use noninvasive and minimally invasive techniques, respectively, to smooth fine lines and banish excess fat. Most recently, Dr. Darm added a third trademarked treatment: MiniLift. The LaserLift procedure reverses damage caused by exposure to the sun, free radicals, and gravity malfunctions by regenerating collagen and tightening the skin with laser wavelengths. LipoLift destroys fat with a laser that melts fat cells through a small incision and allows them to be removed more gently than with traditional liposuction. The MiniLift is performed only by a board-certified plastic surgeon and is available only at Aesthetic Medicine. In the new Lake Oswego location that boasts more than 14,000 square feet, Dr. Darm helps patients feel beautiful in other ways, including combating spider veins with laser therapy or sclerotherapy and keeping wrinkles at bay with injectable fillers. The center's weight-loss program helps patients shed pounds under the guidance of medical specialists and dieticians. Beauty radiates from within Bouffant Salon's two locations, each a high-vaulted haven decorated with wooden accents and purple orchids. But prettiness isn't just found in the salon's décor. It staffs more than 20 beauticians who keep their skills fresh by attending continuing education courses and sneaking out at night to paint the nails of all the town’s statues. Stylists show off their skills as they color and sculpt freshly chopped 'dos using haircare products from Oribe and Wella, as well as lengthen locks with 100% human hair extensions. Dermalogica products aid aestheticians as they purify pores with customized facials and exfoliating microdermabrasion treatments, and technicians apply vibrant colors to nails using OPI polishes and Shellac gels.

Prioritizing comfort and Northwestern warmth, Beyond Bliss pampers its guests with aesthetic and therapeutic services supplemented with Dermologica products and unique details. During the signature massage, a skilled therapist begins with shiatsu before the strokes of a natural-cactus brush exfoliate the back. The hot-shell massage combines sea shells heated by the fiery breaths of a leviathan with natural minerals, sea kelp, salt water, and Swedish-massage techniques to soothe the back. Waxing, facials, and body-contouring treatments with ultrasound technology help round out the menu.

At Adorned Aesthetics, even the most familiar of skincare treatments, the facial, contains some surprises; the center's roster of nine different facials includes three services specifically designed for men as well as a Just Like Heaven exfoliation and massage treatment that lasts a full two hours. Two other services make use of some rare materials: the 24 kt. gold facial uses a gold serum and mask to reverse oxidation damage, and the Diamond Exfolight facial removes dead skin using the diamond-soled shoes that inspired Paul Simon to become a cobbler. When serums fall short, clients turn to the Bio-Roller, an FDA-approved micro-needle rolling system that treats wrinkles and acne without inflicting the downtime associated with surgery.
