After a performance of The Nutcracker, Cirque Du Soleil, or the Radio City Rockettes, it’s not uncommon to see the dancers head down to teach a class at Nancy's Dance Factory. Led by Nancy Hayden, the artistic director, the team at Nancy's Dance Factory has been enriching students’ lives with dance for more than 35 years. They specialize in a variety of dance styles, ranging from ballet and tap to tumbling, pointe, hip-hop, and contemporary. Nancy's Dance Factory welcomes boys and girls as young as 2.5 years old.
Rhythms and Soul’s laid-back, adult-oriented studio and clubby moves were featured on an episode of MTV's Made. Bring rhythm, grace, and choreography into your life, and reshape your monthly party schedule into dance-shaped Rectangos with salsa, Latin ballroom dancing, tango, swing, the hustle, and even dance fitness. Rhythms and Soul’s phalanx of professional coryphées give students individual attention while maintaining a pressure-free, non-competitive atmosphere. You can sign up with a partner by purchasing an extra Groupon as a gift, or fly solo at Rhythms and Soul. Its 60-minute group dance classes impart club-style maneuvering methods, classic ballroom steps, and other partner-pleasing gyrations by keeping the whole group revolvingly involved.
Each time they enter Body in Balance Yoga and Pilates, students could find a different class in session. They might walk in to see a mat Pilates session or an energetic Zumba dance class. Whatever the class, students will always find an attentive instructor, whose yogic roots may have been forged through childhood interest or time spent twisting pretzels at a bakery for hours on end. No matter how they arrived at their practice, class leaders are eager to share their passion as they guide students through flexibility- and strength-boosting classes, such as hatha yoga, which draws from more than 200 postures and meditation techniques to bring tranquility to minds and bodies. Pilates leads students through core-building strength routines on mats or specialized machines. Students can use one of the studio's mats for free during their first week, but afterward should bring their own or purchase a mat from the onsite retail shop.
The consortium of professional instructors at Fred Astaire Dance Studio, which was cofounded by the legendary toe-tapper Fred Astaire himself, shepherds students of all ages and skill levels through lessons that span the style spectrum. Patrons can learn how to cavort through classic ballroom and foxtrot romps or swivel through the modern steps of salsa, swing, or tango. Apprentice foot flashers will develop their skills and confidence in two private lessons before entering a group dance party, during which they'll trip the light fantastic with fellow students without tripping on the light itself.
We are a Ballroom and Latin Dance Studio and are proud to say that we have been in business since 1991. From private lessons to our wide variety of group dance and fitness classes we have something to offer for everyone!
