They scale the strength-and-cardio workouts of their group boot-camp classes and one-on-one intensive courses to individual abilities, bringing out the best in each student regardless of his or her workout history.
The typical D1 gym houses modern indoor turf fields with adjoining weight rooms, giving instructors the space to invent expansive obstacle courses that may require students to lift tires or tug 747s. In the boot-camp program, coaches meet with students one-on-one to discuss progress and find ways to improve. Each facility also houses a sports-therapy clinic, where expert therapists ease muscle injuries through rehabilitation programs and strength-restoring exercises.

Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Through encouragement and constant motivation we give clients the ability to continue their training. We challenge clients with exercises that are tough but doable and show the respective client that they can do these workouts.
Do you believe in the maxim, "No pain, no gain”? Why or why not?
Not at all. When a client experiences pain or excessive problems with the exercise, cessation of the activity is required.
Do you run your gym according to a particular exercise philosophy?
Peak12Sports is devoted to hard work and scientific design workouts. We focus on developing strength, speed, and power as our emphasis. Working out should be fun but hard.

Team Tae Bo Fitness is locally owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Mark and Shellie Blanks Cimarosti, both of whom have trained under the Tae Bo Fitness creator Billy Blanks. The Cimarostis hold black belts in martial arts, and Shellie has also attained a sixth-degree black belt in tae kwon do. She has served as Billy's righthand sidekick since the creation of Tae Bo Fitness and is featured in all of the Tae Bo videos. At their location in Franklin, Shellie and Mark impart the secrets of this unique fitness regimen through lively, rigorous workouts.
At the helm of Cargo Fitness is Carlos R. Gonzalez, a former track athlete at the high-school, collegiate, and international levels and a former strength and conditioning coach with the Tampa Bay Rays baseball club. Gonzalez draws upon this experience to provide a variety of training programs for those looking to lose weight, build endurance, and improve their health. His group fitness classes welcome exercisers of all skill levels to engage in full-body workouts, working to burn fat, tone muscle, and jump high enough to finally get that raccoon out of the top cupboard. Meanwhile, his strength and conditioning programs use individualized exercises to steer athletes toward their goals. Finally, he also offers online workout programs that augment personalized plans with weekly feedback sessions via phone or email.
At CrossFit Murfreesboro, head coach Josie Parsons leads a team of certified Level One CrossFit trainers who help students build endurance, strength, and flexibility. Classes range from yoga sessions to weightlifting training to classes aimed at active moms.
