Owner and instructor Sharon Gray knows what it's like to feel unconfident in her skin, and she credits self-reflection, faith, and a passion for dance with helping her become "diva-fied." Her own life journey has imbued her with a keen understanding, therefore, of what it's like to be supported by a welcoming community. And so, with fellow instructors Nicole Sullivan and Starr, Sharon cultivates a supportive atmosphere conducive to personal growth and fun.
The trio teaches Zumba, yoga, pole dancing, and Hoopnotic, all of which help clients obliterate calories and tone their bodies, and opens the studio for BYOB, private events. Celebrities, including Chili of TLC, have been spotted at the onsite boutique, mingling with guests.
At Zumba in Tucker, Jessica Bartel—a jock-turned-professional-dancer-turned-wife-and-mother—uses her Zumba certification to share her love of fitness and dance. The gym also functions as a health-food outlet, packed with superfoods, verve-pumping juices, and farm-fresh eggs available for preorder.
Zumba melds the upbeat rhythms of Latin music with aerobic exercise and interval training for a fun, effective workout. Fancy Footwork Fitness offers several styles of Zumba classes, such as Zumba for kids aged 4?12 and Z-Box Fitness, a combination of cardio boxing and dancing inside of cardboard boxes. Hot Hula Fitness, a workout inspired by the traditional Polynesian dances of the South Pacific, isolates larger muscle groups as drums beat in the background. After fitness classes, clients can opt in for restoration with basic yoga.
The inspiring trainers at each MetaBody location lead troops of workouteers in results-oriented workouts several times weekly. Sweat sessions utilize a variety of exercises and disciplines to produce full-body results in a supportive environment, ideal for beginners and hard-core core-hardeners alike. During any class, motivational instructors will use the instinctual distrust of routine to their advantage. Begin a day of litigating with a refreshing early-morning boot-camp session, or wind down by burning evidence and pounds with a late-evening yoga class.
