Guiding Fitness’s staff doesn’t believe in quick fixes or fads. Instead, they’re partial to the simple approach of informed exercise and eating. The team of certified personal trainers do their part during private and small-group personal-training sessions, and the team of fitness instructors schedules month-to-month in-studio and online fitness classes.
As a gymnastics coach, Kaia F.I.T. founder and owner Nikki Warren always noticed how children in motion tumble and play with ease. They were effortlessly agile and flexible, and yet many of them would grow into adults who would struggle to stay active. Kaia F.I.T. sprang from this realization with the goal of restoring female physiques to the adolescent pliability everyone enjoys before they grow their rock-hard exoskeleton after sixth grade. The expert coaches retrain bodies with dynamic workouts designed to strengthen muscles, boost energy, and vanquish fat. They root the sessions in functional training, a method that enlists athletes' own body weight and movement to stimulate fitness.
Programs range in intensity and length, from six-week BRIK boot camps, which debut a fresh workout regime for each season, to Saturday Power Hours, which blend interval, strength, and endurance training. Core Session boot-camp classes unfold in five-week intervals between BRIK camps and use muscle-confusion techniques to keep bodies in better shape than fad diets or preserving them in amber for swimsuit season would.
The experienced, multisport coaches at Total Body Fitness teach a multitude of swim, bike, and running courses engineered to quickly get students into shape and improve their triathlon performance. Courses range from open water swims and cycling clinics to boot camps designed to transform bodies.

At Life Changer Training Institute, rather than leaving clients stranded on the sprawling gym floor, trainers guide them toward their fitness goals. They start with a consultation, taking stock of clients’ goals and assessing their current fitness level. Once clients have a solid understanding of where they are and where they want to be they can jump into the schedule of classes to whip themselves into shape. TRX sessions rely on suspension training to tone muscle and boot camps challenge the whole body in a supportive group setting.
Whether his clients are looking to recover from injuries, lose fat and gain muscle, or become competitive athletes, Jeremy of Jones Performance Fitness has programs at the ready. The experienced and certified trainer, who also boasts a master’s degree in exercise science, developed his Accelerated Fat Loss Bootcamp to combine the attention and expertise of a personal trainer with the motivational environment of a group setting. Alternatively, his Elite Sports Performance Programs aim to help athletes up their core strength, speed, and agility during the off-season.
Nelson Recinos wasn’t born a martial-arts master. In fact, his first experience with fighting was surviving on the streets of a war-plagued El Salvador. Once he escaped his situation, Recinos honed his skills with a six-year tenure in Thailand, where he learned muay thai from local masters. Eventually he came to the states to compete as a professional prizefighter, losing only 1 of 130 bouts.
Now he brings his lifetime of expertise to students at Hybrid Fitness—an 8,000-square-foot facility where he teaches both muay thai and boxing. Sean Tribble, a purple belt in Brazilian jujitsu, assists by teaching his grappling art. Personal trainer Amanda Staudinger rounds out clients' training regimens with a cardio cross-training class designed to get participants in fighting shape, with strong limbs, a powerful core, and hands replaced with bricks.
Hybrid fitness tones both adults and children, and its instructors often take their classes outside. In addition to its intense fighting classes, Hybrid offers fun Zumba classes, which tone bodies to the beats of Latin music.
